Chapter 1: Zendaya's rewind

"You know for an actress who's extremely smart in films, you're behavior is pretty ridiculous right now." Jordan exclaimed frustratedly, storming out of the room.

Okay so I'm probably guessing you have no idea by who I'm speaking to or about, what's poppin' nevertheless why it's happening.

Rewind, rewind, rewind, rewind... There we go.

It all started when I finished up the first season of Euphoria and he; Work it.

By he, I mean the most irritating, predictable, stupidest guy I've ever met. Not ever, but you know..

- Jordan William Fisher.. apparently known as Jordan Fisher.

Rewind, Rewind, rewind, rewind... I think that's it, yeah.

So it actually begun like this:

As most of you are aware, I am Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman, usually just known as 'Zendaya', and am a fellow, American actress.

Being that I'm always caught up with one project after another, I never get to spend much time with my family and friends, visit certain areas without the paparazzi coming my way or helping out certain people without camera's following me etcetera.

I mean, i don't mind filming what I do or so, but not every part of my life, y'know.

Especially since those news reporters are quick to make assumptions and those assumptions become rumors which gets hard to turn down.

It also makes things real awkward, like for example, my fellow co-star, Jacob Elordi.

He's like an older brother to me but just because he gave me a slight peck on my cheek, everyone's going whack. Like it's the world's biggest story yet..

Anyways, since Bells aka Bella Thorne, my former SIU co-star, won industry awards for the Him & Her film produced by her in 2019, she decided to continue her journey.

By that, I mean she finalised her decision, about a month ago, that she would be producing a new film called 'Paired By Words', which would be releasing on Netflix in a year's time.

I'm not sure how she found all the casts, props, people, places and all within three months and how she could design a film within a year, but seeing that she always has great ideas and a very chilled vibe goin' on, I'm not that surprised.

But what did surprise me was when she asked ME to be part of this project of hers.

So technically.. this is where it actually started.

"Please Zen." Bells began, repeating the lines she announced to the public. "You know ever since I've produced 'Him & Her', I've became more known. Now, not only am I known as an actress, singer and model but a director as well and what director would I be if I've only produced one movie! And that was like.. in 2019.. 208 days ago Zen!"

"Annabella Avery Thorne." I paused, placing both my hands onto her shoulder blades. "You know I'm extremely proud of you, and am very honoured that the first person you thought to be your main star was me but I can't. Sorry." I attempted saying in a grateful manner, handing off a slight hint that I didn't want to participate in any project right now. Okay a huge hint.

It's not that i didn't want to. Just, this is the very first time in a LONG TIME that I finally got to have a break from all the drama, camera's, rumours, paparazzi, social media, and films. Basically, reality.

I want to sit, chunk on goods, relax, catch up on my series and so on. Just all the things I'd do if I was not a celebrity, y'know.

"But Zen, this is my dream." Her eyes shot out it's sparkle. "Remember when we starred in SIU together? Don't you recall me mentioning something about being a successful actress, and look now. My dream came true due to your help so please." She practically pleaded, following me around as I took all the ingredients to create my favourite desert.

"Yeah I remember." I uttered, recollecting all those dumb things she said and did back in our teenage years before wiping my upcoming smile away, "Hey! I see what you're doing and it's not going to work because my decision is final."

"Can you at least tell me why you don't want to participate in this awesome idea of mine?" Bells asked after I placed the heavy cream down.

"Why do I actually not want to do this?" I repeated the question she asked.

"Is this about Jacob.. or Tom?"

"What.. No.. Why.. Why would you say that? Why would you even bring up those names?" I rapidly questioned, stumbling as the words came out.

Way to go Zen..

"Zendaya? Zendaya?" Bells repeated my actual name, interrupting my next action as I tried avoiding eye contact with her. "What's the real matter? Come'on, you can tell me."

A few minutes went by. My mouth opened but nothing came out.

Absolutely nothing.

"Dude, though we're not as tight as we were back then, I am still your friend and you can tell me anything. It's not like I've stabbed you in the back before, right?"

Puffing, I replied. "Yeah you're right. I'm sorry. I just don't like speaking about my personal nevertheless love life. You know how those news reporters can quickly catch a story by an image or a stumbled sentence so I don't feel safe even speaking about anything in my house anymore. The walls does have ears after all." I explained.

Alongside a smile, I removed the granulated sugar from the pantry.

"Well I'm not going to force you then." She smiled that goofy ass way. "Just know, I'll always be with you. Through whipped cream and chocolate chips." She through the chips into her mouth hole. "I love you and hope you can share your feelings soon. It's not best to keep them bottled up girl." She half smiled, banging her hip with mine.

I sighed deeply, making it so evident what she said helped. "Thanks Bells. I love you too and will definitely tell you when I'm ready." Before she could say anything, another sigh was exhaled which got her all jumpy.

She very well knew what I was about to say.

"If that offer's still available, I would love to take it."

"Eeeee!" An excitedly, hyped Annabella squealed. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

And with that pleasuring smile, Bells handed the last of the last ingredients as I began with the Coffee Ice-cream mixture.
