"Look I don't put the crack in the crackheads hands they come to me, so miss me with that community bullshit," Prime said. Amethyst could tell she had angered him. "Sorry didn't mean to upset you," she told Prime. Amethyst really couldn't believe she was sitting her having a conversation with him. She had always seen him around, but he never noticed her until now. She was curious on why he was over here. "So what did you come over here to talk to me about?" She asked him. He slowly looked her Amethyst up and down taking in her whole appearance.Amethyst began to shy away from his stare, still wondering why he came over to talk to her. Prime scooted his chair closer to the table to make sure Amethyst focus was just on him. "I came over to see what's up with you, my homeboy said you from our hood and I'm just curious how I never noticed somebody as fine as you," he said licking his lips. Amethyst was shocked. She had been crushing on Prime since she was a little girl, but he was older than her, so they never ran into each other. She always thought he was fine as hell though, it's just his line of work that kept her liking him from a distance. Also, the fact that she too shy and insecure to do it anyway.
"Who your homeboy?" She asked. "Clue, you know him?" Prime asked. "Oh yeah, I know Rashad he always come down to my job to get some food, and him and my best friend mess around with each other," Amethyst responded. Prime wonder who her best friend was because Clue never mentioned any girl to them. Prime was ready to get what a came over here for, so he could go home and smoke a blunt. "Cool, so what I really came over here for is to ask you for your number," he told Amethyst.
Amethyst stared at him thinking of an answer. Even though, she has always crushed on him she knows his ways. Everyday there a girl in the hood ranting about her and Prime's sexcapades. Also, too much baggage comes with dealing with a drug dealer, especially with him being top dog. You have to be a tough woman to handle that and Amethyst was certain she was not fit for that position.
"Thanks for the all the compliments, but I don't think giving you my number would be a good idea," Amethyst finally gave him an answer. Prime looked at her crazy. He couldn't believe ma had turn him down. Never in his life have a girl turned him down. To say his ego was shot in was an understatement. He wasn't gon let her see him of his game tho.
"That's cool I respect your decision, have a good night ma," Prime said leaving money on the table for the bill, and got up leaving from the table.
Walking him watch away Amethyst felt stupid. The guy she been crushing on since she was 12 finally gave her attention and she turned him down. "I'm such a dummy," she mumbled to herself. She soon realized that she doesn't have a ride home. She got up and left from the restaurant and started flagging down a cab. She finally caught the attention of one. She got in to be greeted with a very old Indian man. "Take me to GreaterView projects please," she told him.
