I almost can't breath. There is a lump in my throat and i try to swallow around it but it doesn't work. Why am i so nervous. Oh yah he scares me! I immediately look away once i realize I am staring at Tanner.
"Hi," I say trying to be friendly. Instead of replying he slams his locker shut and walks away. He takes about 3 steps as if he was going to say something but after a minute he kept walking.
I thought about following him but to cause no trouble I hurry off to music/dance class.
When I get there I immediately run up to my other best friend Claire. I haven't seen her in a week. Every year the week before school starts she goes to her family cabin in Wyoming. It's a very lonely week for me. Well considering I only hang out with Candy at school.
I look at her for a minute and she looks at me. She has long dirty blonde hair. She is wearing a white blouse and faded skinny jeans.
"Hey I missed you so much," she says as she leans into hug me.
"I missed you too. How was the trip?" I question hugging her back.
Right when she starts explaining we get cut off by our teacher Mrs. Dellono.
"Class, this is going to be a fun year. We are going to start off with a group presentation. Here are your groups." She then pins a paper on the bulletin board in the front of the band room.
Me and Claire rush over to the paper to find our name. The first group is Claire, Jeremy, me, Hailey, Trevor, and his fraternal twin Tanner.
Me and Claire look at each other with a look of interest.
Hailey. She is the mean girl of the school with her bleach blonde hair, her too tight of clothes, and perfect complexion.
Jeremy. Her is a rich dumb jock but can play drum like there is no tomorrow. He plays baseball and football and pays nerd to do his homework.
Tanner Bryan. He is the quite bad boy of the school. He never talks to anyone. Never interacts with anyone. He has no friends and was forced to be on the football team because he doesn't attend any school events.
Trevor Bryan. You already know I have a crush on him. To me he is sweet. Really cute. He has a good sense of humor but he is drooled over by every girl. Worst of all he is dating Hailey.
"This should be good," I whisper under my breath to Claire.
