Minji entered her apartment, not hesitating to kick her heels off and to the side, next to the little ceramic pot she recently bought at the farmer's market. She dropped her bag and immediately went to her couch, where she laid down fully intent on going to sleep for a bit. Maybe just until-
BANG!
"F*ck!," Minji heard a scream from the kitchen. The sound of pots and pans falling on the floor startled the almost dream she was having. Now, a normal person would probably get up and see if an intruder had gotten in, but Minji was used to hearing curses upon curses after someone's failed attempt, yet again, at cooking something decent.
She calmly walked into the kitchen and saw Changmin standing there, his back to her. She went behind him and wrapped her arms around his waist, head against his back, inhaling the calming lavender and vanilla scent that followed him everywhere.
"Babe, what happened?" asked Minji.
"Hey love...I tried cooking dinner today because I know you've been really stressed lately about that new house you have to sell."
Mini glared at Changmin's back playfully, poking at his sides, "And whose fault is it that I can't sell this damn property, huh? Tell me, Changmin. Whose fault is it?"
Changmin looked away sheepishly, ears turning red at the tips, before turning around and saying, "Ahaha, not I, not me. I have no idea who you are talking about. I mean, how would I know? I'm just a poor, fragile, in love man who loves his girlfriend so much-"
He would've kept rambling if it wasn't for Minji getting up on her tippy toes and reaching up to give him a quick and soft kiss. Changmin tried to push for more, but uh-oh, he is not getting away from Minji's scolding with some kisses and cuddling. Absolutely not, not in this economy.
Minji pushed him away slightly, hands still on his chest.
"Changmin, I love you and all but please stop trying to compete with me in the agency. We could have been such a great team but nooo, you had to impress the other employees, which let me tell you," Minji raised one hand in the air, the other on her hip, "I am still very disappointed about. I mean, how could you be so desperate to impress those discombobulated shaped pieces of sh-"
Changmin quickly grabbed her hand, placing it back on his chest. He moved them until she was the one against the counter. He knew what he had to do. One would expect him to start begging and asking for forgiveness and promising chocolate and dates and- Yes, that's exactly what he is going to do.
"Minji, baby," Changmin hesitantly said, lips quickly forming into a pout, "You know I didn't mean to. It just happened. Please forgive me," ended Changmin with a classic set of round and teary puppy eyes.
"Hmph," answered Minji, folding her arms and looking away, "What do you mean it just happened? This has been happening for the past two months with all the listings that we've had at the company."
Changmin whispered to himself a quick, "shit," he glanced up at Minji, "Now you see, what had happened was, I had to feed my table and walk the bird so I had to-"
Minji quickly interrupted the absolute crackery and nonsense that was leaving his mouth, "Changmin, baby, what the f*ck are you saying? Repeat that sh*t one more time."
He nervously laughed before clearing his throat.
"Uh...well our 5th anniversary is coming up and I thought I'd surprise you with something...so I've been trying to do as many listings as possible in order to save up some money."
Minji's frown and pretend angry face quickly turned into a soft and love sick smile. She couldn't help but reach up and lightly smack Changmin's cheek.
"You idiot, you should have told me your plan," she laughed quietly, "I was so worried that there was something going on and that you were being hostile towards me because I did something to you."
"Hostile? When was I hostile towards you? Was it the time I slightly pushed you away-"
"Slightly? You fuck*ng pushed me to the side, to the point where I banged my shoulder against a wall and ended up breaking the row of plants that were hanging on the wall," said Minji with a deadpan look.
"...sorry."
"It's fine, but please stop trying to beat me at everything. We all know I'm the best broker the agency has ever seen."
Changmin let out a laugh, amused by the quick change of attitude of his beautiful and lovely girlfriend.
"...Is something burning?"
**
After throwing away the burnt chicken nuggets and restraining their neighbour, Sunwoo, from calling the fire department, the two cuddled in the couch sharing a pizza and watching Boys Over Flowers.
Huh, I guess Changmin was able to get away from a big scolding because of his cuddles and kisses.
