Manik pov

Woahhh!!! Today after one year I saw her. All my tiredness vanished into thin air. Her eyes were still the same but they did not shine anymore. Her face pale and her figure weak and fragile. While I was in my thoughts I received a call from Cabir, my best buddy. I received his call and conversation went like this                                      Manik(cheerfully) : Haan say Cabir !!!!                                                                  

Cabir: woah! Woah! Seems like someone is extremely happy after a lo9ng time.

Manik : Cabir!! I saw her!!!

Cabir: Kaun??

Manik:Nandini!!

Cabir : kaun Nandini?? ...Wait hamare college wali??

Manik: yeah!!

Cabir: so what waise bhi it was an infatuation as far as I remember!!

Manik: SHUT UP!! Bye!!

After his call I remembered our college time...

FLASHBACK

Nandini had always been a bubbly girl but was reserved. She only talked to her group of friends. It was true that her presence was not noticed by Manik but only in the starting.

Nandini was one year younger to him. He was in last year of his graduation while she was in second. She was amid year student.

One day, Nandini along with her friends was in auditorium. Her friends knew that she was an amazing dancer but today they wanted to see it and started forcing her. After a lot of convincing she agreed. She had just started when Manik was passing by hearing the sound of music he came to the auditorium. What he saw made him lost. He was lost in the way Nandini was moving her hands and her feet,  the way she was swaying herself according to the music and lastly her everlasting smile and facial expressions. He realized he could stand there his whole lifetime watching her. The feelings were all knew for him. He used to excuse himself from Fab 5 just to have a glimpse of her. Fab 5 used to bully everyone but Nandini never faced all this just because of Manik whenever they tried targeting her, he made an excuse and somehow prevented them from going near her.thius was all noticed by Cabir. After some days not able hold his curiosity any longer he asked Manik "What is going on between you and that honey pot??". His question made Manik shocked. Knowing that he could never lie to him he told him that he is just attracted towards her but Cabir was not convinced because Manik Malhotra getting attracted to girl was not apt. He highly respected women and seeing the extra care and concern towards this girl was not digestable. After a month or so Cabir finally said " Ja ke usko propose kyu nahi karta??" to which Manik replied " Nahi yaar it is just an infatuation". But the reality was totally opposite, in this one month he had realized that he was surely in love with this chotu angel .. Though he never confessed because The Manik Malhoptra was scared. Yes, he was worried what if she said no his all dreams would just vanish. This was the reason he covered his love with infatuation. Even after graduation he used to come to college without anyone's knowledge just to see her.

End of flashback

Thinking all this he slept.

Next day all the staff members had to show their respective registers to Manik. By 9 all the registers were at Manik's table. He started checking them when he found a register which did not have yesterday's entry. He immediately called the Manager and started scolding him and asked to whom the register belonged to. He replied Nandini.

On the other side Nandini was hell nervous as she had forgot to update her register the day before. It had just been 10 minutes when the manager was  called in. next thing she heard was Manik's voice scolding the manager. She said to herselof " nandini aaj toh you are gone Aiyappa please save me!!!"

Nandini was called inside. She nervously entered i side and saw Manik sitting there with a angry face. She started shivering because being in the same college she knew that Manik was very short tempered and his anger was something really bad for someone to face. Manik ordered the Manager to go out. As soon as Manager went out Manik gave a big smile to Nandini and said " Daro mat kha nahi jaunga!! Sit come!!" Nandini sat on the chair kept opposite to him. She was looking down embarrassed. Manik smiled seeing her like this and said "Nandini look at me don't be embarrassed its okay hota hai!! ". She couldn't believe what was happening the man famous for his anger was sitting in front of her calm even when she was at fault. Manik said "Its okay Next time say dhyaan rakhna!!' this broke her trance and she gave him a smile. Mnaik for once did not look away from her face. He noticed all her expressions. Atlast she smiled though he knew it was fake but still. After wishing him a Good day she left. He promised himself that now he would surely make her fall for him and would propose her as now he was worthy of her.He had established his name. He then called the manager and ordered him in a stern tone " Nandini ko daant na mat". He nodded his head and rushed out as soon as possible. Manik smiled to himself thinking about her.
