Humans were the most unintelligent, repulsive creatures he had ever seen. Their morals only became worse as each millennium rolled around. They all believe they are invincible and unstoppable, when- in reality- they are known as the dimwits of the universe. Everything about them screamed uncivilized. Even their form of communication was the most unnecessary thing ever. If you weren't able to hear the emotions other humans were feeling, then why even converse with one another?
Emotions. That's another problem of theirs. They have too many of them, and for what reason? Most of their problems are based solely around something so simple or impeccably idiotic. All of their problems would go away if they could take their narcissistic, huge heads out of their uptight assholes.
Louis believed all of this to be true. His eyes narrowed in disgust every time he had the misfortune to watch them below. Just the sight of them made his blood boil- that is, if he had any. Why were they allowed to be this happy when all they did was sin? They should be punished. Instead, they went on with their lives, acting as if they had it all.
Now had to be the day. Louis could not stand watching them for another decade. He had never been vocal on his distaste for the human race, but maybe the others felt the same way he had. Someone else had to find this civilization to be repulsive.
"Raphael," he sought out one of the archangels. He needed his complaints to be heard. This problem had to be fixed immediately.
"Louis," Raphael acknowledged the young angel. Louis was considered very talented and destined for a great future. All of the archangels could see his potential.
"Raphael, we need to do something about these humans. I've had enough of watching them sin over and over again. They need to be punished. They are pathetic, worthless creatures. If it were my call I would have wiped out the entire race ages ago." Louis spoke with fury. The terrible fire bubbling in the pit of his stomach. It fueled his hatred and made his anger stronger.
"Do you hate them?" Only one question needed to be asked in order for Raphael to choose his next move. One question separated Louis from something dangerous, or the same routine.
Hating humans. It was the reason Lucifer was thrown out of Heaven. Hell existed because he could not learn to love one of God's greatest creations. He thought of them as the universe's scum. With Louis' attitude matching the Devil's, Raphael had to handle it with great care. The last thing needed was two Devils.
"Well, I most certainly don't love them," Louis exclaimed with precaution. He knew how much trouble he could get in for vocalizing his distaste.
"Then, you must learn to," it was so soft-spoken that he almost hadn't heard it. Learn to love humans? It had to be the most impossible thing for Louis to do, however, before he could question the task and laugh at the silly idea- it happened.
It crept up fast. The boy had no time to register what was going on when the cloudy floor beneath him no longer held his weight. His body suddenly began tumbling towards Earth at a high speed. Flames licked his golden skin from the speed. It was like a shooting star- at least to the humans it was.
Falling angels held so many similarities to shooting stars, or even a comet. A falling human body would only cause suspicions. This, on the other hand, blended in with the rest of the world.
Blood gushed from the tears in the falling angel's back. His wings were being ripped off of his skin so he could not return to Heaven. He couldn't help it when his face screwed up in pain. Nothing was more painful than being on fire while having a piece of your body being torn off. It was almost unbearable.
When he landed with a loud thud in an open field, he almost didn't believe the torture was over. His wounded body sat up in the large crater he had created. The open wounds in his back had already self-healed. Two large scars were left behind that stretched from just below his shoulder blades to just above the back of his hips. They would be more than noticeable to the human eye.
How the hell was he going to learn to love humans, when he had to be near them? He either had to convince Raphael he has, or they better take him by surprise and start being pleasant. He highly doubted they would ever do that, though. It was just going to be one disappointment after another.
All he could do now was pray. Pray that he can see why they are God's most divine creatures. Pray for a miracle to make this task easy. Pray that praying would be enough for him to rise back to where he belongs. He belongs in Heaven. Not here with the most revolting creatures that had ever existed on God's green Earth.
