"A war is coming and you better choose your side wisely." There was a glint in Torres's eyes.

"You know very well where I stand in all of this." I gitted out

"I'd hate to see you suffer. But it seems that you have made your bed. Time to lie in it."

And with that he was gone. Just like that

A war was coming
with who?
What war?

I looked around frantically searching for Torres.

I need answers.

I turned scanning the crowd.

Nothing. I saw nothing.

A hand grabbed my shoulder, and I let out a shriek.

"Chill girl. It's just yours truly." Jason said, but then his expression harden when he saw my shocked face.

Raphael came by my side soon after that. " You look like you just saw a ghost."

"I wish I saw a ghost." I muttered under my breath.

"Vi what happened." Raphael asked grabbing my hand and running his thumb lightly over my palm as comfort.

"I......ummm..I....I saw him." I struggle to say

"Where?" Raphael gazed was murderous.

At this moment I have never been more intimidated.

"Right here. " I waved my hands, in the air, indicating exactly where Torres was standing.

"Okay get your supplies we need to go now."

I nodded and turned away to quickly grab a few things.
In about 5 minutes I met them at the paying station.

The front door banged open viciously as Raphael stormed in, carrying all my bags, which he paused to place gently on the ground. I walked in behind him with Jason by my side.

"I for one have gotta be honest though Torres is one real bad ass now isn't he? How did he even manage to find us?"

Raphael glared at him.

"You better shut up." He warned

I could understand where he was coming from though.

Raphael whipped out his phone with so much force and started making a couple of calls. He was evidently furious, by the tone of his deep voice.

Jason and I decided to leave him alone and flutter off to the kitchen where Duffy was,

"Hey Duffy." I said with a smile.

"Hey Vi, what's up with Capo?"

"Capo dearest is just throwing a tiny tantrum because his safe house isn't as safe as he though it was. But dont worry he will be over it in a bit." Jason said sarcastically

"Oh I see." Replied Duffy with raised eyebrows.

Jason glanced over at me.

His expression softened with concern, "Hey Vi, are you okay. You look worried. Did Torres say anything to you?"

"No. He didn't say anything to me." I lied.

I didn't feel good about lying but I feel like Raphael needs to hear it first before Jason. I need to tell Raphael everything, especially the fact that Torres is actually my father. But when, maybe...... maybe later.

I know how this might change everything, but he needs to know he deserves to know the full truth.

"Vi? Would you like to join Jason and I for some tea and biscuits?" Duffy asked.

"No thank you Duffy. I think I lost my appetite." I replied staring at the counter in a daze.

"Yeah girl. I can totally relate Torres is way to scary looking, enough to lose an appetite. Good thing my eye didn't touch his presence." Jason chuckled shoving a chocolate chip cookie into his big face.

I felt annoyed by what Jason said, I don't know why. Perhaps I was being protective he was my father, he wasn't so scary looking.

I was just worried. Torres was just doing what any father would, but keeping me locked up he was trying to protect me. Just like Raphael is doing. Me running away must have really hurt him, just like when mom ran away.

I sat there just thinking for a long long time.Hearing Jason and Duffy's voices in the background, seeming distant although they sat close by.

I didn't want to be part of this war. Hell I most certainly don't want to be the cause of it all. They most powerful  mafia families are going to go to war all because of me. Blood will be shed because of me.

I felt tear prick eyes threatening to spill.

I need Raphael.

And with that I got up from my seat.

"Sorry guys I'm gonna go." I said squeezing my eyes shut so the wouldn't see my tears.

I turned and headed for Raphael's study.

I didn't knock, I just threw the door open, and slammed it behind me. I ran over to him.

It was night time already, the office was dark only the outside garden lamps illuminated the room. The outside light outlined his tall muscular yet slender stature with a silhouette.

He was pacing around his office, stopping frequently to stare outside the glass walls. He was in deep conversation, taking in a low voice. He had his back facing me.

I ran over to him and wrapped my arms around his upper torso, in a tight embrace. My face was pressed into his back, in between his two shoulder blades.

"I'll call you back okay?" ,"Alright, ciao. "  Raphael  said before he ended the call.
