Finally, it's Friday! School this week was soooo boring, and I barely saw Iwa-chan at all! Speaking of which...
Ring!! Ring!!
My phone starts ringing.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Stupidkawa."
"Iwa-chan!"
"Do you want to come to the festival with me?"
"Festival...? Oh, you must mean the one downtown! Sure, I'd love to come!"
"Alright, then I'll pick you up at your house tomorrow at 9."
"Okay!"
A festival with Iwa-chan! This is so exciting! A few girls from school invited me to go with them, and I told them I'd think about it. I'll have to let them know that I'm going with someone else.
|Time skip to next day|
When I wake up in the morning, I start counting down the hours until Iwa-chan's coming to pick me up. I have a quick breakfast, then decide to practice volleyball. I make a few phone calls to the girls who invited me to go to the festival with them, telling them that I'm going with someone else. A few asked who I was going with.
"Oh! Just a friend..."
A few of them sighed with relief when I said that. Most of those girls were girls who have confessed to me before, and are trying to make me like them. I would date them. That is, if I wasn't gay...
Soon it's lunch time. I head to lunch with Makki at a small diner that just opened down the street.
I get there before Makki does, so I go sit down at a table. He gets there a few minutes later.
"Hey, Makki! Over here!" I say, waving him over.
"Hi, Oikawa!" He says, sitting down.
We order our food. I order a sandwich, and Makki orders a burger.
"So, Oikawa. You going to the festival?" He asks.
"Yep! I'm going with Iwa-chan!"
"Wow, I'm surprised your not going with a girl." Makki teases.
I shrug. "How about you? I assume your going with Matsun."
Makki grins. "Of course I am. Who else would I go with?"
I snicker. "Not a girl, that's for sure."
He playfully punches my shoulder. "That's so mean, Oikawa!"
I laugh. "You know I'm just joking. Chill."
Our food comes a few minutes later. After we eat, I head home and decide to watch a few volleyball games on YouTube. Soon it's time for dinner. I make myself a hot dog, and then play volleyball in my backyard.
A few hours later, I hear the doorbell ring. I open it, and standing there is...
"Hi, Iwa-chan!"
"Hey, Annoyingkawa. You ready to go?"
"Yep!"
The festival is a few blocks away from my house, about a ten minute walk. By the time we get there, the festival is already crowded with people. Vendors are lined up on either side of the street. There's a poster that catches my eye.
"Iwa-chan, look! There's a Test of Courage! We should definitely do that! Ooo, and look! All these games are amazing! I want to play them all! And look, cotton candy! We HAVE to get some!"
