Kuroo's love

This might seem, cliche, but I'm in love with my childhood best friend, Kenma. The problem is, I don't know if he likes me back. He always seems uninterested whenever I'm with him. He rarely comes and hangs out with me. I usually have to show up at his house for us to hang out. And he's always glued to his game. And he's always talking with Karasuno's #10.

I text him to see if he wants to go to the mall. I saw online there's supposed to be a cat convention. Not selling real cats of course. Just some cat merchandise.

Me: Hey Kenma!

Kenma: What is it?

Me: You wanna go to the mall tomorrow? There's supposed to be a cat convention tomorrow! I thought we could go to a place that's not crowded.

Kenma: If it's a convention it's crowded

Me: True. But we can always just browse the stores, get a bite to eat, and then when it's not too busy, go and check out what they have to offer?

Kenma: Will any of the others be going?

Me: Not with us. I mean, if you want them to, I can ask them if they wanna go.

Kenma: No. I don't want them to go.

Me: Wait. Does that mean you'll go?!

Kenma: Sure.

I was so happy, I was so close to jumping up and down!

Me: Okay! I'll pick you up at noon!

Kenma: Ok

I had to find something to wear. What should I wear? Something formal? No. He'll think In weird. Ugh, I don't know what to wear! Maybe Bokuto could help me.

Me: Help! Me and Kenma are going to the mall and I don't know what to wear!

Bokuto: HEY HEY HEY! YOU ACTUALLY ASKED HIM OUT! NICE JOB MY MAN!

Me: Shut up, owl!

Bokuto: So harsh 😔

Me: Sorry. Anyway, what should I wear?

Bokuto: Dress like yourself! You should always be yourself, and if you don't feel comfortable being yourself around your boyfriend he's not the one.

Me: How are you so dumb but you give good advice?

Bokuto: Bokuto-San went to get snacks. This is Akaashi

Me: Oh. Ok then. Thanks Akaashi

Bokuto(Akaashi): No problem, Kuroo

He's right! If I don't feel comfortable being myself, then he's not the one.

Time skip to the next day

I had taken like, 5 showers in the span of a day. I've been so excited and nervous for this. I was gonna make this the day I confess to Kenma. I was on my way to pick him up, and so many thoughts were going through my head.

Would he like me back?

If he didn't would everything change?

Would we still be friends?!

I tried shoving all of the thoughts into the back of my mind.

I finally arrived at his door, and knocked. His mom came to the door.

"Why, hello Kuroo!"

"Hello, Mrs. Kozume"

"Come on in! Kenma is on the phone with Hinata like usual"
