Part 4

- 29 days later-

Eunice's POV

Tomorrow is the day to decide Lay needs to disappear or not... In the past 29 days, I find out that I really can't lose him. Maybe everyone, including me, already believed that he's my boyfriend.
He never missed anything happen in daily life. Don't think he always acts like a JPG, he can actually pay attention to everything happens around him at the same time. That's why he always take care of me, he plays piano for me whenever I'm sad, he never let me go to anywhere alone.
But the point is, does he have the same feelings for me...

"What are you thinking Eunice? already missing your baby lay?" yong a wraps my neck with her arms.
"Yeah... A little..." My face is now always redden when anyone talks about Lay.
"Don't be shy, that's common~ I miss my jihyunnie too~" "I guess he is waiting for you again~ look, he is standing right in front of the gate" jieun joins our conversation
"Awwww such a thoughtful boyfriend~~~ lay!!! She's here!!!" Yong a shouts at his direction. Lay looks at us and smiles, he waves his hand and make a heart with his arm.
"Awwww he is soooo cute, I'm so jealous now~" jieun says
I respond to him by making a heart with my hands.

-After school-

Lay's POV

I didn't go to school with Eunice but I'd wait for her after school. I went to different places with her on holidays, the place we like the best is the beach. I don't know why but my heart is pacified by the view. When Eunice goes to school, I usually go to there, sitting on the beach and start thinking.
I have a different feeling towards Eunice, it's different from yong a, jieun and their boyfriends. I don't know what's that, but I'd like to stay with her forever. Is that what they call love...
"Hey!" Eunice jumps on me suddenly, we nearly fall down on the floor.
"Ahhhhhh you scared me!"
"What are you doing, start acting like a JPG again? ㅋㅋㅋ" "I'm not! I was just thinking... What was I thinking just now???" I totally forget the stuff I was thinking.
"Hahahaha look at you pabo! Let's go home!" She holds my hand and drags me.
When we arrive, her brother is waiting for us in front of the house. "Eunice, come over here. We need to talk."
"Be right back, wait for me! ;)"
Her brother stares at me before bringing her aside. I'm curious so I follow them and eavesdrop.

Eunice's POV

"What is it?" I ask my brother immediately.
"Tell me the truth, about Lay." he grabs my shoulder and shakes me a little bit.
"I've already told you everything..." "No, you're not. I've investigated him. There's no such guy in your school. He just went to different places everyday. Besides, he even doesn't have an ID card. Who is he, you have to tell me the truth or else he may hurt you!" He tries to lower his voice but he's actually growling at me.
"I can't tell you... He's not a bad guy at least!"
"I'm worrying about you! You've got to tell me or else I will send him to the police."
"Don't!I beg you! I'll tell you everything ! He... He is not... A human..."
"What do you mean..."
"I got a gift from the woman who lives next to us, it's kinda like a plant. I didn't know it would become a boy..."
"That's ridiculous! How am I gonna believe you!"
"This is the manual. And I've jotted down something the seller told me..."
"I can't believe there's such thing on this world... It... I mean he will disappear after a month? Is that tomorrow?"
"Yes... If..."
We hear someone falls on the ground. I see Lay sitting on the ground with his pale face. He must have heard out conversation.
"Lay... Listen to me!" I try to approach him but he just stands up and runs away from me.

Lay's POV

I'm... I'm going to disappear... That means I can never see everyone again! I can't discover new places, eat delicious things, meet my friends, play the piano... I can't do these things anymore!!! And, I'm not a human... I'm just, a plant. I'm different from the others... So I don't deserve to have humans to be my friends and family...

I can't believe Eunice conceals the truth from me... I thought we could share everything... Or she is just playing with me?... She doesn't care about me. I'm just a gift from a neighbor, and a plant. She can still live without me... I'm nothing... My eyes are wet... I'm crying... Isn't it? I have arrived the beach unconsciously, I really like here. This is the place that I can calm myself...
I lie on the sand and do nothing. I just want to lie here. Because I can enjoy the time here before I leave... I've no strength to think again...
When I wake up, it's already evening.
"Lay... Please... I can explain everything... Listen to me okay?..." I turn around and see Eunice gasping for air.
