Imogen sat on the stands with Lydia and Allison. They'd been dragged to lacrosse practice by Lydia before they could object. Lydia was rambling on about how great Jackson was on the field and the practice hadn't even started yet.

"Hey McCall, you're in goal." The coach said to pen boy, throwing a different lacrosse net and helmet into the teenagers arms.

"I've never played in goal.." McCall frowned in confusion.
"I know, getting some shots in will give the boys a confidence boost. It's a first day back thing, get them energised." Coach shrugged, lightly hitting the boys arm.

"What about me?" Scott sighed.
"Try not to take too many in the face." The coach said nonchalantly slapping Scott's cheek. Imogen snickered at the words of the coach, quickly looking away when Scott had heard her laughing and was confused as to how she could have heard, from the distance she was away from the field.

Scott sighed and reluctantly walked over to the goal stepping inside. He held his net stretched across two hands while he cracked his shoulders in an attempt to brace himself.

"Who is that?" Allison spoke from the other side of Lydia, with her eyes glued on the boy in goal.
"Him? I'm not sure who he is. Why?" Lydia smiled a knowing smile at Allison. As if on cue, Scott looked up at the trio of girls and stared at Allison for at least a solid minute before the whistle blew.

"He's in our English class." Allison seemingly shrugged it off.
"She's crushing on him." Imogen mouthed to Lydia when Allison had turned away, watching the last remaining players come onto the field.

Imogen winced when the coach blew the whistle again obnoxiously loud, having to dig her nails into her palms to stop her from covering her ears. She visibly winced and immediately gained concern from the two females.

"What's wrong?" Allison was the first to speak up. Lydia had been focused on watching Jackson on the field, turning when she heard Allison.
"Just a headache. He keeps blowing that stupid whistle too loud, it's deafening." Imogen excused.
"I didn't hear it." Lydia said confused but smiled all the same.

Imogen couldn't comprehend how the whistle could have been so loud, it shouldn't have been that loud from the field. The stranger thing was that when Imogen glanced out at the lacrosse field again, Scott was doubled over and groaning. He was still bent over when the coach blew the whistle to start shooting, assuming the boy was just looking for an excuse to be out of goal.

McCall had his hands on his helmet, moving randomly around in the goal when the first player shot the ball. The ball smacked the boy just below his eye on the front of his helmet, before he collapsed backwards into the goal causing an eruption of laughs.

"Way to catch the ball with your face, McCall!" A boy called out smirking while Scott pushed himself up slightly, still sat down in the goal. Scott stood up with a determined smile on his face while he braced his shoulders for the next ball to come. The audience in the stands looked confused when the boy caught the ball, even Scott stared at the ball in the lacrosse net in disbelief.

"Yeah!" The boy from the lockers cried out from where he was sat on the bench. Scott caught multiple balls after his first catch from different players, with a grin while stands cheered.

"He seems like a pretty good player, all of a sudden." Imogen said her thoughts out loud.

"Yeah.. very good." Lydia said with suspicion.

Jackson scowled in irritation, placing his lacrosse net in front of the player who was meant to go next. He stepped in front glaring at McCall across the field.

"Oh god.." Scott sighed before the other lacrosse player started a run up the field, making everybody tense. Jackson swung the lacrosse net in his hands back, only to send the ball flying into McCall's lacrosse net. The audience cheered with Lydia standing on her feet in the stands, cheering for McCall.

"That's my friend!" Stiles perked up from the bench punching his fist in the air, while Jackson looked over at Lydia with a look of annoyance. He didn't like that she was cheering for McCall but she just shrugged at him with a smirk.
