Before heading into the library, I took a deep breath and told myself, it's gonna be okay. they're just your schoolmates. you know them. so don't worry, just act normal and it'll be alright. it's just 2 hours and then, you can go home.

I knocked on the entrance door before twisting the door knob and pulling it, but it didn't work. I tried pulling it harder, until I heard a tap on the glass at the top of the door. I looked up and was surprised to see Cindy there, I stepped away from the door and the door flew open, Cindy standing in front of me.

"You're not supposed to pull it. See?" Cindy pointed to the small mat that was on the floor in front of the library door. "It says, Push not pull.'

I stared at it, blinking my eyes before turning back to her. "Shouldn't it be hanging on the doorknob? It'll be more obvious to see the sign." I told her, earning a laugh from her and a soft slap on the cheek.

"Oh, you're so stupid. This is our club code. Only people that's in the Worm Club uses this door."

"Then, where's the actual entrance library door?"

Cindy turned to the left and lifted her chin. "The glass door there is the actual one. Haven't you been to the library before?" She asked, covering her mouth while she yawned.

"No. Not this one. I'd been to the one in Block C." That's because it was nearer to my class.

Cindy grabbed both my hands and pulled me into the library. "Then welcome to this library! The biggest one in the school and the coolest." "Oh, meet the members, too. Guys! Another worm has arrived!"

Worm? "What worm? I'm Germaine."

CIndy rolled her eyes. "Hello, Germaine? The Worm club? You're a member now, so you're a worm, just like us. Pick what kind of worm you wanna be." She said and headed to the counter to sit down. "Okay, two more worms and then I'll start on the attendance and the introductions."

What? She. The head of the club? The one who's always in the toilet during break and lunch is in this club? And also the president of it?

I shook my head, maybe she's just vice president, that's all. I looked around to see who are the other members. They weren't who I thought they were at all, not what I expected of the members.

The head cheerleader, Rea, wearing spectacles and holding a pencil, a curtain cloth tied around her neck saw me, and quickly grab a book from the computer desk close to her and flipped the pages through it before turning back to me and put one hand on her face while the other holding the book, she started talking, in a foreign language.

Okay. I looked away from her and saw Helen, the school's head prefect there right in front of my eyes, wobbling on the floor like some dead fish. She wobbled towards me and lifted a hand, "You must know me, I'm Helen." I squated down on the floor and shook her hand.

"Yea, you're the head prefect. What you doing?"

Helen looked side to side, like what she was about to say was secretive, she gestured me to come closer and so I leaned forward, she whispered softly. "I'm actually a mermaid. We all are. And we're all in the sea now."

Then, suddenly I heard growls and howls. Like wolves and dogs. I turned around, following the sound to see where it came from. What the heck? On the 3 couches that's close to the windows, there were the coolest, most popular twins in the school, Amanda and Fionna, growling and crawling around the couches, like it was their territory and no one can sit there. There were also torn pages scattered around the couches.
