Lia's POV:

I was on my way to my boyfriend, Max's house when I got a call from my best friend, Payton. I accepted his call and heard his soothing voice.

Payton: hey princess

I got butterflies when he called me that, I did every time he called me that which was basically my whole life. Well let me tell you the story; our moms are best friends and never lost contact so we know each other since birth and we are really close.

Well I used to have feeling for Payton but then I met Max. We started dating which helped me kind of get over Payton, but not completely. Well I love Max, at least I think I do... but then I take one look at Payton and he fucks up my feelings.

Lia: hey bubba
I could tell he was smiling through the phone, because of the nickname.

Payton: have you seen Alex?

My heart kind of dropped at their name, she was Payton's girlfriend. I was getting worried now. Is he cheating on me? I opened our door slowly.

There it was, my boyfriend fucking my best friend's girlfriend. But the weird thing is that I don't feel sad or broken. I took out my phone to film it and show it to Payton for proof. I filmed it then quietly made my way downstairs and went back to my house car. I drove to Payton's house and parked my car.

I knocked on his door. The door opened to reveal a happy Payton. Ugh great now I have to give him the bad news. He hugged me really tight and smiled. I hugged back.

Payton: I thought you were going to Max's?
He said with questioning eyes.

He didn't look sad or anything, he looked like me when I saw them.

Emotionless.

I thought he would be sad right now but he never even dropped his smile. I was confused but didn't question it.

We went to his room and I chose a movie to watch while he got some snacks. He came back with my all time favorite... snickers! He sat next to me and we cuddled, my head on his chest and his arms wrapped tightly around me.

Payton: Lia?

Lia: yes Payt?
He smiled at the nickname, even though I usually call him that.

Payton: I want to tell you something, I need to get this off my chest... but I really hope it doesn't ruin our friendship.
I smiled, wanting him to continue.
