"Lilith!" I turned around seeing Gabriel walking towards me. Rolling my eyes I kept walk until he stepped in front of me, "can I talk to you?"
"You are talking to me" he frowned,
"That's not what I meant smartass..." I smirked raising an eyebrow,
"So the angel cusses" he gave me a confused look,
"Angel?" He shook his head and asked, "look have I done something to make you hate me?"
"Why do you care?"
"Because I don't like hurting people, so what did I do wrong I can make it up to you" I gave him an unamused look,
"You haven't done anything wrong because I make it my priority to avoid you everyday"
"But why? I want to be your friend"
"No, you just want another person to tell you how amazing you are. Sorry but I'm not falling for your act old man" he ran his hands through his hair,
"Old man?" I nodded,
"Your hair makes you look ancient. Now if you excuse me I'm going to class" I pushed past him and I could feel him staring at me as I continued walking,
"I get it, your envious." I stopped turning around to face him with a smirk on my face,
"Of what? You old man hair? No I think I'll pass" Gabriel glared at me only making me smirk more. I was getting to him; making his true self come out. I sat down when I reached my next class in the back as usual. Chemistry, the class was fine but the professor was a total asshole toward me. As he started the lecture he started doing an experiment that made a tiny explosion,
"Now in this chemical reaction your skin could completely burn off and scar you for the rest of your life. So unless you don't want to look like some person with a screwed up face keep your face protected." The class laughed a little and some people including the professor glanced back at me. I pretended not to notice as I started taking down the notes on the board.
Finally lunch came and I hid in the library reading a book. I was interrupted by the sound of Micheal, the computer nerd,
"Hello, demon where are you?" I didn't move or reply as I went back to my book. Micheal has loved to use me as a punching bag ever since the 9th grade; the reason he's gotten away with it for so long is because no one cares if I'm the one being attacked. In fact, society approves of using me as a stress relief for people. "Come out, I know you're here" he walked down the aisle of books until he came up on the aisle I was reading, "found you" Micheal
had curly brown hair and gray eyes which he wore glasses over. He was fairly built, but not as strong as a football player; he was twice my size.
sighing I stood up,
"What the hell do you want Micheal?" He walked up to me and grabbed me by the neck forcing me into a bookshelf,
"It looks I need to exercise you again, demon" I rolled my eyes ignoring the tight grip on my neck making it harder to breath. Using his other fist he punched me in the stomach causing me to ball up as best I could from the pain.
'Glad I didn't eat lunch'
He continued punching my stomach, "your so weak, why haven't you died yet" honestly I've asked myself that ever since I was old enough to understand how shitty my life is. And I don't have an answer yet. Then, to my surprise Micheal was pulled away from me and thrown into another bookshelf. I fell to my knees holding my stomach and looking up, it was Gabriel.
"What are you doing?" He didn't answer me as he walked toward Micheal,
"Dude, come on haven't you had enough?" Micheal stood up glaring up at him,
"I won't ever have enough until she is dead" Gabriel glared at him,
"Are you threatening to murder her because if that's the case I will not hesitate to report you to the police" a look of fear passed through his eyes,
"What? Of course not, look I'm going to go check my new monitor" Gabriel nodded and watched as he left before crouching down,
"Are you okay?" I looked into his eyes with no emotion,
"Fine. Why did you defend me?" He smiled,
"To prove to you I am a good person who wants to be your friend" I stood up wincing from the pain,
"Well, it looks like you need to try a little harder to convince me" I walked away without looking back going straight to the bathroom. Luckily no one was there; I stood in front of the mirror and raised my sweater revealing large blue and purple bruises forming all over my flat stomach.
"I'm not a bad person...so why do people think I'm so wicked?"
