The Boy

There was a boy, who has my heart
We met when we were so young,
He seized my heart by his simple act,
He’s always there when I was downcast.

This is the boy who I always hurt.
The boy who I always left,
For some stranger that will only hurt me,
And leave me hanging for being me.

This is the boy who gave me the feeling,
Of being treasured and being loved.
Who makes me feel special,
With his simple acts.

I left the boy without a word,
And leave him hanging in the air.
We’ve been strangers for years,
And suddenly met after decades.

He’s still the boy who has my heart,
But not the guy who I used to love.
Time made him like this,
Or maybe I, made him like this.

I know how to be matured
If that’s what he wants.
Just to make this work,
Just to make this last.

This is the consequences
For leaving the boy I love.
I must be happy; I must be glad.
For the love we had, for the love we have.

This is our promise from a long time ago,
And now we’re here, to make this work.
With God’s guidance, we know we will.
We will end up together, like what we pray.
