Lightning followed the other Gryffindor kids to the Quidditch field.

The kid named Harry had informed him of the game, and it sure sounded exciting. It sounded just like racing, which McQueen adored.

On the other side of the field, the Slytherin kids were warming up. He caught Chick's eye and smiled smugly at him. They were going down.

Donning his number 95 jersey, he was prepared.

Suddenly, Oliver Wood raced up to him.

"Hey, McQueen, one of those Slytherins stole Harry's broom. We're going to need you to be his flying vehicle today instead of an individual player. You'll be a co-seeker," said Oliver spitting the word 'Slytherin' with distaste.

McQueen hesitated, however, he gave in, figuring that Wood must be counting on his racing expertise and his speed to get the team through.

"Sure man," said McQueen.

"Great," said Wood.

He raised his wand and uttering the spell "Wingardium Leviosa," McQueen was airborne.

Before he could lift too far off the ground, Harry hopped into the passenger seat.

Flying ever higher, he caught sight of Wood running across the field toward the Slytherin side, but before he could think to much about it, Harry was muttering their game plan at him and all McQueen could think of was speed. He was speed.

...

Marcus Flint strode around, checking in on his players, when Draco ran up to him.

"Some Gryffindor stole my broom. It was here just a second ago," said Malfoy panting.

Normally, Flint would have stormed over to that no good Wood, but the game was starting soon and he didn't have much time to think of a solution.

Eyeing his team members, his eye caught sight of Chick boasting about his racing prowess to other team members.

"Hicks," he called, and the lime green car rolled over.

"I need you to fly Draco today. His broom was stolen," said Flint, his eyes pleading.

"Yeah, okay, sounds fine with me. Is McQueen flying the other seeker?" Chick asked, noticing McQueen flying through the air with a passenger in tow.

"Yeah, he is," said Flint, not too concerned with the fact that Harry was without a broom.

"Great. I'll be the thunder to his lightning."

After casting a flying spell on Chick, Flint left to check in with the rest of the team.

Draco boarded Chick, and together, they were off.

...

Sally had made fast friends with Cho Chang and Luna, and was sitting in the Ravenclaw box with the girls, chattering away.

"You must know how it feels Sal," said Cho. "Don't you too find it scary when you boyfriend goes off to race or do Quidditch. I know I get nervous every time Cedric goes off to play. Especially around the bludgers. At least Dobby didn't enchant these ones, but still."

The Quidditch game was a whirl of excitement. Sally couldn't keep her eyes off of McQueen, as he raced around with Harry, trying to catch the snitch.

Suddenly, Sally spotted it. It was bouncing near the Gryffindor stand, blending in with the gold banners. It seemed as if McQueen spotted it as well.

He raced over, windows rolled down, but just as Harry was about to nab it, it floated away.

By this point, Chick had seen it too.

The two cars raced around the field, midair, with both Harry's and Draco's hands jutting out of the windows in an attempt to snatch the snitch.

Sally was holding her breath.
