Heya! Author here.
First off- I'm really excited to publish this one. I am glad you've chosen to read this book as well. I hope you enjoy it.

Here is a little bit of background that you should now before reading.

America didn't have a formal personification until the revolutionary war. Arthur never found Amelia when America was colonized. While she did exist before the colonization the thirteen colonies did not. They appeared when the land was colonized. Each of the thirteen looked 10 when they appeared. By the time the revolution hit, the older of the thirteen looked about 14.
Arthur didn't know there was a personification for America until the revolution when Timothy (Delaware) signed the Declaration of Independence under the name "Alfred Jones". At the time England didn't know "Alfred" was the personification until the revolution went on and they met in the battle field.
(Don't worry it will go more in depth in the future chapters)

Now 'Alfred' is seen as the sole personification of America. But of course his mom is the real personification.

All the states are personified as well as DC (Diane) and Confederacy (Connor). The oldest being 18 and youngest 10.

Enjoy!
