The losers where playing a board game, and Richie's phone started ringing. Eddie went to see who it was because Richie was in the bathroom. It was this girl named Rachel with hearts beside the name.

"who called me?" Richie asked coming out of the bathroom

"Some girl named Rachel." Eddie said in a questioning voice

"Oh ok, I'll call her back later"

Richie and Eddie sat back down with the losers and continued the board game. When they finished the board game they all left Stan's house. Which was around 5:30. They all went home, except Richie. He went to Rachel's house to eat dinner with her and her family. He ended up leaving around 11:00 pm.

When he got home his dad was watching TV and his mom was in bed. He went straight to his room and called Eddie.  They talked for awhile but then Eddie had to go because his mom started coming up stairs. Eddie asked one more question before he went he asked who was Rachel. Richie replied with I'll tell you tomorrow

-the next day (at the quarry)

"So who is Rachel?" Eddie asked while they waited for the losers to arrive

"well she is my girlfriend" Richie said in a nervous voice

"oh" Eddie replied with a sad tone

"what wrong?"

"Its nothing"

"Aww is little Ed's scared he's gonna lose time with his best friend"

"as if I'm glad to get rid of you if anything"

Richie took that to heart even though he new Eddie meant it as a joke. The rest of the losers arrived. Richie and Eddie weren't really talking to each other after that conversation. The losers could tell something happened but didn't want to mention it right then.

-Later that day (at Bev's house)

The rest of the losers went home except Richie. He went to the mall with Rachel, and Eddie went to Bev's house.

"Why weren't you and Richie talking?" Beverly asked

" Well we were talking before yall showed up" Eddie said

" what did he say?"

"he got a girl friend, I guess he doesn't like me" Eddie replied about to start crying

"I think he does, maybe he just doesn't think you like him." Bev hated seeing Eddie like this

"You think?"

"I do, you should tell him how you feel Eddie"

"How do I know it's the right timing?"

"You don't, but you should tell him at some point"

"But what if he doesn't like me back?"

"Then he doesn't like you back, it doesn't mean yall cant be friends anymore. Right?"

"I guess"

Beverly's dad walk through the front door.

"Eddie you have to go out the window my dad's home he will kill me if he finds out a boy came over!" She said in rush

"ok"

Eddie climbed out the window but he fell and yelled really loudly. Bev's dad came to the door and started jiggling the door knob. She had locked the door when they got there just incase this did.

"Bevy you better not have a boy in there!"  He yelled

"There's not I was just changing sorry" she replied hoping Eddie was ok

"oh ok... you know the rule no boy aloud in the house"

"I know daddy, Is it ok if I go into town?"

"To do what?"

"just to look around"

"That's it right?"

"yes"

"you wouldn't lie to me, would you bevy?

"no sir" Bev started getting really uncomfortable

"ok fine but be home by-"

Bev slammed the door before she could hear what time to be home but she figured around 6:00. She ran to go check on Eddie. She helped him up and could see the pain in his eyes. She knew he would be fine walking home alone but she helped anyways just to be safe. She knocked hoping someone would answer soon so Eddie could get to the doctor. Mrs. Kaspbrak finally  answered the door. For once Eddie was actually exited to go to the hospital with how much his arm hurt .

"Oh my gosh my sweet Eddie bear what happened"

"I tripped and fell and landed on my arm" Eddie didn't want his mom to know what actually happened because he knew she would turn it into something it wasn't

"thank you for helping him come home Beverly" She didn't like Beverly but she was grateful some one was there to help Eddie.

Bev went walking around in town till 6:00. Then went home, her dad got mad because he actually said 5:45.
