"I don't know what's more awkward than Dora standing still and staring at you from the screen while asking where her shoe is."

"What happening mama? Where we going now?" The quiet words of the tiny yet frantically worrying little girl rolled out off of the tip of her tongue through hesitation while seeing her dear mom contain herself in a state of panic in their house, watching how her life quick of of frantically packing everyone's clothes in some large sized bags was occurring at the speed of light, causing her to pout in confusion because of it.
"We are moving away baby, we need to go from here before the monsters find us in the dark." Her frail mother cooed softly while shutting the suitcase almost instantly, making little Laura jump in fear because of how swiftly the woman in front of her was moving over and over again.
"M-Monsters?! From the...beddy stories...? The b-beddy stories Auntie Gracie would sing?" She asked skeptically after sucking her thumb inside her mouth, remembering the same bright brown eyed woman to narrate amazing stories to her before bed, but also to a certain someone who would come to be known as her favourite person in the world in due time.
"Yes baby, from the stories." Her mom quickly agreed in response without putting much thought into it, as her body was in a constant mode of code red to a certain extent, while Laura could hear her poor baba screaming furiously into the phone in the living room, reviving a sense of pure rage through his tone because of everything going on, making Laura corner herself in a specific spot of the basement she was in.
"Can Pyro come us then? Along with uncle Jackie and auntie Gracie? He promised he keep me safe from dark, pyro can bring his fire." Laura pleaded desperately after remembering her best friend would possess the strange yet eccentrically powerful element of flames in the depth filled chasms of his veins, which could possibly hurt anyone because it would make your skin burn badly, worser than the flames shown in the human world.
"Pyro is busy now baby, you'll see him when you're older, okay?" Her mother announced regretfully after letting small tears fall from her eyes on impact due to the scenes of everything their lives turning darker and darker by the second, making Laura widen her eyes at her in shock, and immediately puff her cheeks in disapproval.
"O-Older?! No! That long time. Me want see him now, I no go without him anywhere. I have his key, key to lockey." Laura protested childishly after showcasing her tiny fists, proceeding to show her white locket in the matter of the next few seconds, and her mother cried in secret even more because of knowing the distance that would he formed between both the children.
"I'm so sorry baby, but he's not here. He went back home after his parents went to heaven, he has to throw his fire at some meanie beanies." Her mother choked on her remaining pools of sorrow and mourning, remembering the gruesome scene of her best friends on the floor all dead.
"NO! HE PROMISE HE BE WITH US! ME WANT PYRO. I WANT HIM NOW. CALL HIM." Laura whined profusely while crying her own ocean of tears with the thought of not seeing him for a long time, not getting to have his forehead kisses or hugs, not being able to see his goofy smile or his tantrums of not being able to form fire in his hands, while subconsciously holding his pendant closely and kissing it due to the overwhelming recollections stored in her brain.
