This Is The Volleyball Team

After a school day you walk to your dads store.  You walk in and you hear the little bell ding.  "Hey dad" you smile softly as Ukai turns to face you, he smiles and gets up "hi sweetheart!" He walks over and hugs you tightly, you smile and hug him back.  He's always been kind of overprotective about you even though he has nothing to protect you from.  You pull away from the hug "so am I working again today?" as you walk over to the counter.  He sighs "yes, I have to go to a practice with those boys" he walks to the counter behind you.  Ever since he started training those boys again I barley get anytime with my own dad.  He grabs his cigarettes as you look at him, he looks back at you and places them down.  He's trying to stop smoking for you but he is obviously struggling a lot.  He kisses your forehead softly "I'll be back soon, stay safe I love you" you nod "I love you too dad..".  He walks out and the bell makes a "ching!" noise.  You sigh and got on your phone, you hear his car start then him pulling out of the parking lot. 

After 5 minutes you look down and see his phone "oh he forgot it.." you grab it and get up.  "He's gonna need this.  He won't mind if I go and give it to him".  You grab the keys and your bag. You then walk to the front door, you flip the open sign to closed.  You walk out and lock the door.  You begin walking to the High School, you hum softly as you walk.  You look at your phone as you get closer to the school. You walk to the gym where the guys are practicing volleyball, you walk in and all the boys turn and look at you. "Dad?" you look around for your dad, the guys whisper and go absolutely crazy excited.

Ukai looks at you and begins walking over to you "y/n what are you doing here.?" he walks up to you. You pull his phone out of your bag and hand it to him. "You forgot your phone at the store so I came to brought it to you.." you smile softly. He grabbed it and pulls you into a hug. "You didn't have to.." he looks at you "did you run into any strange people?" he asked worried. You sigh "no dad, I didn't see any strange people. I walked here without problems". The boys still go crazy and continue to whisper, Noya and Tanaka are freaking out more than the other boys. Ukai turns to the boys and they snap and look away acting like they weren't staring at you. Your dad clears his voice "uh, boys this is my daughter y/n". You look down and swing your arm, you aren't outgoing at all.

Luckily Noya and Tanaka we're the opposite of you. Noya runs up to you and shakes your hand "HI IM NISHINOYA! BUT YOU CAN ALL ME NOYA!" you flinch as he ran up to you. He stays shaking your hand smiling, the other boys walk up to you and Ukai. "Well, that is Nishinoya and he's the libero for the volleyball team" you smile "well I don't know what that was b-but that's cool". Tanaka pushes Noya and looks at you "hi I'm Tanaka, and your very gorgeous.." you blush lightly as Ukai clears his voice. He pushes you back further softly from Tanaka and smiles. "That's Tanaka and he's always flirty, he's a wing spiker".

Ukai sends Noya and Tanaka back to the group. "Okay, those two are our second years." he looks at Suga Daichi and Asahi. "Daichi is our team captain, he's also a wing spiker." Daichi steps forward and shakes your hand, he smiles and then walks back to his spot. He points as Suga, "That's Sugawara and he's a setter". Suga steps forward and smiled. "Hi y/n, you can call me Suga if you'd like" he says as he pushes back his hair with a slight laugh. You smile, his vibes made you feel all fuzzy inside. Suga stepped back in the group next to Daichi.

You were wearing a grey sweater tucked into your mom jeans, and chain belt.. with dirty white vans. And a bracelet that you matched with your dad, a silver bracelet and a white chocker. You were absolutely adorable. And everyone knew that. Your dad continues to introduce the volleyball team, "That's Asahi, he's Karasuno's Ace". Asahi waves at you with a soft, kind smile. "Those 3 are our third years, now for our first years", he turns to look at Hinata. "Here's Hinata, our middle blocker". Hinata bolts out of line, he comes and hugs you. "HI IM SHOYO HINATA!" your heart beats faster as he hugs you, "uh h-hi" you stutter. "HINATA!!" Daichi yanks Hinata off you and smiles, "hehe sorry about Hinata he's too friendly sometimes". 

Ukai is obviously furious with the hug Hinata gave you, he sighs and looks at Kageyama.  "That's Kageyama, he is a starting setter".  Kageyama looked kinda happy, he smiled and waved at you.  You wave back softly, Noya and Tanaka smile while staring at you.  "Tanaka she smells so good!" Noya whispers to Tanaka, but of course Ukai heard it and looked at them.  He looks like he's about to punch him, you grab your dad's wrist "dad it's okay." you laugh softly.  "next we have Tsukishima, he's-" "really tall.." you stare at him, he looked atleast 6 foot.  "Yeah, he stands at 6'2.  He's a middle blocker".  Tsukishima looks at you, "hello there y/n".  "WOW TSUKKI YOU WEREN'T MEAN!" Hinata yells.  Tsukishima looks at him with a sort of mad look.  You laugh softly, "Tsukki?" Tsukishima looked mad now.  Ukai clears his voice "And last we have Yamaguchi, he's a middle blocker also." you look at Yamaguchi.  He smiles and waves at you, he looked sweet. 

"And that's it!" (I know there are more players we're just gonna focus on them).  You look at all of them, Noya and Tanaka practically twitching of excitement. "what year is y/n?" Daichi asks "She is a 1st year and she's off limit-" you interrupt your dad "yeah I'm a first year heh..". "IS SHE STAYING TO WATCH US PRACTICE?" Noya and Tanaka scream. "No she isn't." Ukai turns to look at you "you can go back to the store y/n, I'll be back soon" he pulls you into a tight hug as he glares at Noya and Tanaka.

You hesitate to say what you want to say, then you pull away from the hug and look at your dad. "Can I stay to watch them play, just for alittle bit?" you smile a sweet and adorable smile at him. You were for sure his soft spot, he just couldn't say no to you. He sighed "of course pumpkin". His nickname for you was pumpkin, he pats your head and smiles. You walk over to the wall and slide down. You put your bag next to you. Ukai turns to the boys and instructs a practice game, you watch as each side attempts to score and spike.

After the practice game, you watch as the boys go back into the lockers. Sweaty and tired. Dad walks over to you and smiles. He helps you up as he asks you "Did you like the practice game?". You nod, just then Ukai pats your shoulders. "I'll be right back.." he walks to the lockers and opens it, all the boys turn to look at him. "One word to her and it's 100 flying laps."
