Chapter 2 (A girl with a Wings)

Cali's POV

I looked at the girl lying on the bed inside Charlotte unnie's ward. She's still unconscious right now.

I don't know how my older sister cured her ripped wings but it's totally healed now, except for some bruises on her arms, face and legs.

I've noticed how the people of our tribes reacted when they saw her. All of us were in shocked seeing someone like her.

She looks so young. Maybe we are at the same age. My friends and I can't wait for her to be awake. We're so eager to find out about who she really is and where did she came from.

Sire Arthur called out an urgent meeting for the elders. Charlotte unnie doesn't allow anyone to enter here, but I know that she's still in the meeting that's why I sneaked inside.

I know that she'll be mad at me if she finds out, but curiousity  leads me to disobey her strict order.

I am looking at the girl intently. She's still sleeping... She is so pretty. Her whole body is shining like a glitters sprinkled all over hers. I slid my fingers towards her wings. It is so beautiful...

I wonder why she didn't fly away when the black boar attacked her?

I was alarmed when she begins to move her body!

I need to get out of here before she could open her eyes. She shouldn't see me here.

I have to go to the swing at the village's garden. My friends and I have a plan to meet there tonight.

I run towards the door but even before I reached it, I heard a weak voice speak up behind me... "Hi! C-can you help me to g-get up?"

I bit my lower lip and I have no choice but to look back at her. "You still need to rest. Don't force yourself to get up. I also need to go now. I just checked your condition. My sister will come here to take care of you. You just have to wait for her for awhile!"

"B-but I am thirsty. Can you please give me a water to drink before you go?"

Ayssh!

Contrary to my will, I hurriedly took a glass and a pitcher of water on the table inside the room.

I put it on a mini table beside her bed and helped her to get up. I poured a water on the glass and gave it to her but she took the pitcher and drink all of the water in it instead. She also took the glass on my hand and drink it too.

I was left astounded and just stared at her for awhile.

"Thank you! I feel better now." She smiled at me.

"O-okay! I need to go now!" I replied and begins to walk away.

"Wait!"

I rolled my eyes and looked back again.

"I am sorry but I really need to go!" I uttered and continued to walk out of the room before she can even say something again. I felt so relieved when I got out of the door without anyone seeing me.

I went to the swing on the garden area. They are not yet here.

I sat on the swing while waiting for my friends.

"Weeeew!"

I looked at my back to see who pushed the swing I'm sitting on.

"Nikolai!" I smiled at him and looked around. "Where are they?"

"I don't know!" he answered.

"Hey guys!" Axl greeted us when he came.

"Where is... Wyatt?" I asked Axl when I saw that he was alone.

He just shrugged his shoulder. "Maybe he's with Shanaia!"

A pinch of pain quivered inside my heart from what I've heard...

Unbeknownst to them, I have a secret admiration for Wyatt.

But it is not hidden for everyone that Wyatt likes Shanaia. He's very vocal on saying that he wants her to be his girlfriend and she's his ideal type.

I let out a deep sigh...

I put my right hand on the handler of the swing but it accidentally landed on Nikolai's grip. I instantly turned my gazed to him when our hands accidentally touched each other... I found out that he's also looking at me and our faces are just a few inches apart... My eyes widened and suddenly there was a burst of inexplicable tingling sensation on my hand that touches his... My heart starts to beat so fast.

I was froze from the situation...

Nikolai's POV

I can't remember how long we're staring at each other as of this moment...

The only thing I care about is that I know she also felt the same as mine when she accidentally touched my hand. There was a gradually emerging feeling inside me that I cannot explain.

I was mesmerized...

Gladly, Wyatt finally arrived to break the moment and took our attention before it became more awkward.

Wyatt's POV

"Let's go Shanaia. They're already waiting for us. We have to go."

"Just go ahead and don't wait for me. I still have to do something. Just go away!" Shanaia pushed me away.

I leave her reluctantly when she shooed me. She didn't even bother to look at me and it looks like she's waiting for someone while looking at the village's entrance.

I decided to hide from a distance where she couldn't notice me.

A few minutes later, a familiar face came in to the village. I've seen how her eyes filled with happiness and how excited she run into his direction!

It feels as if I'm out of myself, I discreetly walk away after witnessing that scene...

Shanaia's POV

  "Why is he late? The meeting has began for almost an hour." I muttered.

  I felt like I've been waiting my whole life when he finally came in to the village entrance. A smile automatically appeared on my lips and I run towards him.

"Harris!" He lazily turned his gaze on me. "I've been waiting for you... The emergency meeting has began for almost an hour. You're late!" I jokingly scolded him.

I accompany him as he walks hurriedly...

"Hi, Shanaia!" He coercively replied to me.

"By the way, I'm waiting for you because I want to give you this..."

"Not now Shanaia, I'm in a hurry!" He gestured his right hand to stop me before I could finished talking.

He continuously walk away and didn't even bother to look at me and to my gift for him.

I stopped following him, "Okay, I'll give it to you when you're not busy anymore!" I said loudly for him to hear it.

"At least I saw him, and that's enough for me to make my day complete." The smile on my lips did not fade away...

I headed the direction to where my friends are right now.
