Daisy...
That day started off as any other, but thinking back on it now years after the most traumatic experience of my life yet, we as a school and community should've seen the signs. But then again, we were only teenagers. We weren't trained on how to identify someone that might one day try to end our lives. We were trained to sit still, be quiet, and never move out of our hiding spot. Up until that day nobody questioned the tall boy with a contagious smile. He had friends, including myself; people were always around him. But if I've learned anything from that experience, even with a circle of people around you that you know you can lean on, it can be lonely and haunting.
I was one of the lucky ones. I made it. I attended countless funerals, had hundreds of therapy sessions and spent more money than it was worth to try to piece my fragile mind back together. The only thing I can confidently say helped put my life back to a point where I could stand to live was my best friend at the time, Harry.

This is a short story, so probably only around 20 chapters, but they're all going to be pretty long (other than this one). This story follows Daisy and Harry through an experience that unfortunately many people have gone through and probably will go through, and the healing process after the fact. I hope you enjoy :)
