By the time it was dismissal, Nick went to his phone and call his mother via contacts.

There was a ring or two until the call was received.

"Mother?"

"Nick, is something the matter?"

A silky tone asked at the other end of the phone.

Nick was nervous to ask. Heck, he is beyond nervous.

"I have a question to ask you, if you are willing to accept it."

His mother sighed softly, already knowing that it could be related to his club or his academics.

"Are you willing to let me join the boy's volleyball team for three years?"

There was silence between them until the silky voice of his mother returned to a reply.

"Yes, you may,"

He was about to celebrate but he paused since his mother paused to continue.

"The school called earlier about your pranks and antics. So, I know you wanted the attention I was going to give to you when you were younger but I couldn't. It is best for you to be on your dream team and you are a growing boy already, as long as you follow their instructions."

Nick was shocked to hear that.

"Thank you! Thank you so much, mom! I love you so much!"

They talked for awhile after hearing his mother's approvement of joining the club until she hung up since she got some paperwork to do and Nick practically skipped from the garden of the school to the gym.

"Yahoo--!"

A stray volleyball hit him at the forehead by accident and it hurts! Thankfully, the force coming from the ball didn't made him fall backward but only stumbled back before he regained his footing and quickly held his bruised forehead.

"Are you okay, Ashido-san!?"

A worried tone coming from one of the second years, Ennoshita, rushed over the slightly injured first year.

"E-Eto," Nick stuttered softly still holding on his forehead. "My forehead stings, senpai!"

Ennoshita was alarmed as well as Suga and Daichi, so he did what he could only do.

Placing the troublesome first year at the benches and started aiding on his bruised forehead by applying some ointment and a small pack of ice over it, Nick thanked him for that.

After being injured for a minute, Nick started feeling better and a certain blueberry came to him earlier and apologized for hitting him at the forehead since he was the one who served it and a certain short sun didn't received the ball properly. It was received poorly.

"You're forgiven anyway, Kageyama-kun!" Nick hollered on with a smile, making Kageyama blushed a bit. "You better work on those serves of yours if you want to gain the team's upper ground!"

Kageyama's blue eyes widen in amazement after hearing a tip coming from a fellow first year and nodded before picking up the ball from the ground and went towards the other side.

Daichi approached the younger male and stared at him, only for Nick to stare back at him as well.

"Are you up for a practice match this Friday?" The captain asked looking straight at him. "Yeah. I got an approve from my mother." He replied with a sheepish grin.

Daichi smiled and ruffled his pastel blue locks affectionately. The younger chuckled at his affection and was told to change into something sporty and practice on his receives with Suga.
