Chae's POV
{ Past }

"Babe!" I clung onto Sungjae's arm.

"Hey baby~" He pulled me close and hugged me. I smiled and hugged him back. "Did you have fun when I was gone hmm?" He asked.

"No." I pouted. "It was so boring without you. I didn't get to hear your morning voice in the morning. I didn't get to see your face. I didn't see you~" I clung onto his arm again as he chuckled.

"It was just a week babe. I needed to leave for some work."

"But still! You weren't beside me."

He chuckled and carried me. "Yah! What are you doing!?" I asked as I hit him.

"Well since I am back~ Let's have a little fun shall we?" He whispered in my ear but I hit him and wiggled out of his embrace. "Never! I'm too young for that!" I stick my tongue at him as I ran away but what made me sad that his face became clouded. I frowned. Nevertheless, I ran to him and pecked his cheeks and ran back to my hiding spot but still he didn't smile. Whenever I kiss him, he would always smile but now he didn't. Does he still love me?

Days passed by and I felt like the closeness between us decreased. I tried my best to bring up a topic to make him interested but he's always on the phone, smiling.

"Who are you talking to babe?" I asked but he didn't answer me. "Babe?" I asked him again with my voice louder.

"Huh? Yeah?" He asked, his eyes still glued to the device.

"Who are you talking too?" I asked him curiously.

"One of my workers." He replied but I wasn't satisfied.

"Then why are you smiling?"

"He tells great jokes." He answered. I pursed my lips to a thin line and walked to our room. He doesn't talk to me a lot nowadays.

I sat on the bed, bringing my legs closer to my body. I buried my face in my hands as I wondered what topics I should bring up to interest him but all of them were used. I sighed and ruffled my hair.

"Hey baby!" Sungjae entered the room. I smiled back at him. "Baby? I'm afraid I need to cancel our date today. Boss called me." He said with a sad tone. I sighed. It's nothing new. 

"It's okay babe... We can have it another day..." I said with full sorrow.

"Cheer up! We'll cuddle at night and I'll make up for the date tomorrow!" He picked up his towel and left to the bathroom but before he entered, he winked at me. I hid my flustered face and he chuckled at me.

Sungjae's phone messages keep popping up. I wanted to answer but I can't meddle with his privacy but I'm his girlfriend. Annoyed, I decreased the phone's volume and placed it on the night stand beside the bed.

"Bye babe!" I pecked his cheek and waved goodbye to the figure. I locked the doors and entered our room when I noticed his phone was there. I immediately took the mobile and rushed out.

I reached the parking lot and tried to find Sungjae but he's no where to be seen but 2 voices caught my attention. I walked nearer to the source and I was shocked. The grip on his phone left.

"B-babe?" Upon hearing my voice, the girl who didn't kiss back Sungjae pushed him and slapped him.

"He kissed me! He called me to pick him up but he kissed me! I swear I didn't kiss him! I have a boyfriend!" The girl burst out. The tears rolled down my cheeks uncontrollably. I walked towards him and slapped him. "Y-You Cheater! I loved you and you ugh!" I shouted at him and ran. The girl followed behind me.

Once I was out of sight from both of them, I dropped on my knees and cried.

"Hey.. Hey.. It's okay... Forget him. He clearly didn't love you and it's no point crying over him... You deserve better." The girl patted my back comfortingly. I wiped my tears and smiled at her. "You're right."

"I'm Seulgi, Kang Seulgi." She introduced herself. "Park Chaeyoung."

But clearly I was dumb back then.I wasn't smart enough in love.I didn't see it.
