My mind shuts down into get-coffee mode, when my brother pulls up at our usual Coffee shop. Coffee Ltd is one of the more fancy coffee shops in LA, and I absolutely adore their Hazelnut Latte's. I usually skate there on my long board, but today my brother is cashing out his debt to me and I intend to get the most out of this situation. I will be ordering one slice of chocolate cheese cake, plus an Americano and of course a Hazelnut Latte.

We dropped Anthony off at home and Debbie went home with Jess, so it's just us. I can't remember when was the last time we spent time together. As brother and sister we were never extremely close, but I always hoped we would be.

I lost hope a long time ago.

The bell above the door chimes as I close it behind me. Coffee Ltd is like a fancier version of Luke's in Gilmore Girls. The whole tables at the windows, looking out on the street and the order at the counter, storage room in the back type of vibe. But at Coffee Ltd there's a much nicer coffee machine and they serve pretty much every pastry you can think of. Plus there's this super cute barista that I've had my eye on for like a very long time. He has a girlfriend, but I'm sure if I wait long enough, he'll break up with her, so I can swoop in and show him that I am actually the girl of his dreams. He'll be so happy with me, that his ex-girlfriend will grow jealous and come at me with a hockey stick and Leo (that's his name), will realize just how exceptionally awful she is, and love me even more!

"What would you like, miss?", Leo asks and I snap out of my daze. Have I been staring at him? Oh my god.

"One hazelnut latte, One americano and a slice of chocolate cheesecake. Oh and another americano for my brother.", I frown and bite on my lip. Doesn't he know my name by now?

Leo smiles, showing off his cute dimples. "One hazelnut latte, two americanos and a slice of chocolate cheesecake coming right up."

I grimace and walk to where my brother is sitting. Right smack in the middle of the coffee shop. Normally I wouldn't have a problem with that, but I just want to disappear right now. I've been flirting shamelessly with this guy for for months and he doesn't even remember my name. I was so naive to think that I was the only girl that showed any interest in him, besides his girlfriend. I mean hello, come on. He's a cute barista in LA. Every girl here has probably made a move on this guy. Imagine how he must feel. Great now I feel sorry for the guy. Not your best move, Angela.

I take a seat, opposite my brother  and sigh, folding my arms on the table. Everything was going great, but now I feel shitty.

"What's with the sudden mood change?" I look up to see my brother smirking at me.

"I've made a total fool of myself. I think I'm just going to stay away from cute baristas with girlfriends from now on."

Someone nudges me and I turn away from my brother.

Suddenly there's this sinking feeling in my stomach, because Leo is behind me holding a huge slice of chocolate cheese cake with an expression of immense pity on his face. I turn back in my seat, muttering a halfhearted great. Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse.

Leo places the cake in front of me and his hand lingers. I look up to him, yet again. "You know, my girlfriend broke up with me a month ago, and I have absolutely no problem with you flirting with me, whatsoever. Call me sometime." With that he hands me a napkin, with his number scribbled on it, already turning on his heel and rushing to the counter to take another order.

"Wow. Surprising but nice turn of events.", I say smiling, while pocketing the napkin.

"You know, that cake isn't going to eat itself.", my brother mockingly says.

"Yeah, yeah.", I reply, digging into my cake.

At home, I'm currently drifting on a floaty, in our pool, reading my favorite novel Pride and prejudice. I wonder if Leo is my Mr. Darcy. Can Leo dance? Do we have the same taste in music? What is his favorite food?

I know I should call him, but I'm kind of scared he will reject me. Yes, I know he said he didn't mind me flirting with him, but everyone feels insecure at sometime in their life. I mean really. What if he said, he was only joking? What if he said I wasn't his type? What if-

"That's it, I 'm calling him."

I take my phone out of my bikini-cup, where I stuffed it in earlier today, because I was scared I would drop it, when I climbed onto the floaty. And dial Leo's number. (I added him to my contacts when we left Coffee Ltd.)

"Hey, who is this?" I can almost see him smiling.

"It's me. Stalker girl. Who you felt sorry enough for, to give her your number."

"Ahh, it's you beautiful. What's up?"

"So I was wondering, if you'd want to hang out sometime?"

"I'm just getting off work now. Do you want to meet up somewhere?"

I smile.  "You can just come over to my house. I'll send you a pin."

"Okay, great. See you."

"Yeah, see you.", I reply before ending the call.

I send him the pin location, put my phone back in my bikini cup, and go back to Mr. Darcy proposing. Leo will be here, in ten minutes.

I'm totally loving this Leo character!!! I think it's going to be one hell of a hang out. TILL NEXT TIME, LOVIES!!
