Amy and Rory were sitting on the pilot-seats as the Doctor danced around the console. "Where shall we go today Ponds?" He asked with a wave of his hands as he came to a stop in front of them and leant against the console. Amy was just about to reply when a bright blue light came from next to them with a zap. It disappeared as quickly as it appeared to reveal a stunning River song standing in its place.

"Hello sweeties" she smiled and Amy jumped off the seat and wrapped River in a tight hug. "River, it's so good to see you." She said as they let go and and River smiled "I know." She told her. "Hello River." The doctor smirked "hey River" Rory said as River wrapped him in a hug as well. "Hey dad." She replied. "And hello Doctor." She smirked back at him. "I was just about to take the Ponds somewhere. Got any ideas?" He asked her as he pulled the screen around to face him and typed something on the typewriter.

"How about France 1826? Or maybe the Ood-sphere, haven't been there in a while. Love a good Ood." The doctor rambled on. "Anywhere you like sweetie." River said as she came over to the console to stand next to him. "What about Mars? I've always wanted to see a Martian." Amy suggested and the Doctor suddenly looked very sad a dark.

"No." He said plainly but darkly as he started to fiddle with some buttons. Amy gave River a confused but worried look and River gave an 'I don't know, but I think it's best we leave it.' Look back to her. "Right so where are we going then doctor?" River asked, easily sliding past the subject and moving on. "Hmmm. Not sure, I think a nice visit to Capri-34-tersesis might be nice. They've got Rocks that play music!" The doctor said enthusiastically. "Right then. Capri-34-tersesis it is!" Amy smiled.

The doctor gave a mischievous smile as he clasped his hand together and spun on his heels to start pressing buttons and take them to there new destination, but before he could even touch the controls the TARDIS lurched forward, throwing everyone on board to the ground with a loud thud.

The controls started sparking and the lever pulled down by itself as the four of them stood up. "Doctor what's happening?" Amy called out as everyone grabbed onto something to stop them from from falling to the ground again. "The TARDIS, it's in flight!" He yelled back as they were all thrown this way and that. The noise suddenly stopped and the TARDIS was no longer throwing them about.

"Where are we?" Rory asked as the Doctor pulled the screen around to face him. His eyebrows furrowed in confusion when he saw the screen. "Doctor where are we?" River asked, a little louder. "Cardiff." He said as he stood back. "Cardiff?" Amy asked. "Yeah. The TARDIS must have needed to refuel." He said, still in a slightly shocked and confused state.

"What do you mean?" Rory asked. "There's a rift that runs through Cardiff, it's sort of like a split in time and space and energy bleeds through it, the TARDIS feeds off that energy as a way to re-fuel." He summarised. "So it's like a pit stop?" Amy asked and the Doctor smiled. "Yeah. Like a pit stop." He laughed. "Well let's go take a look outside." River said as she started making for the door.

The doors opened with a squeak as River stepped outside, followed closely by the Doctor and soon after, Amy and Rory. The TARDIS was parked right in front of a big water tower, which as the doctor knew, had a secret Torchwood underground base hidden beneath it.

"How long will it take to fuel?" Amy asked curiously. "Usually only around 20 seconds but I haven't charged her in ages and by the way the TARDIS decided to take us hear, I'd say she was very very low on power, so it could take a few day, maybe even a week, I'm not sure." The doctor said. "Cool, we can do some sight seeing." Amy said as she took Rory's hand .

"Mm..." The Doctor mumbled in a sort of disapproving way as he looked down at the ground beneath them. "What is it Doctor?" River asked. "Jack will be around here somewhere. And I don't really want to run into him." He said as he pulled out his sonic screwdriver and inspected the water tower.
