Chapter one: The bonfire

June 1st,
Friday 2:45 pm,
Palomino Bluffs campus.
Third POV.

It was a sunny, hot day in May, Lucky and her friends, Abigail and Pru were riding around campus, talking on their horses, Spirit, Chica Linda and Boomerang, when a girl they knew, Lydia, came up to them. "Oh, hey,Lyds!" Lucky exclaimed, looking at girl. "Hi PALs! Have you heard about the bonfire tonight? The BUDs are hosting it." Lydia told them. "Oh really? I haven't heard about it." Pru answered. "Well, It's at 7:00pm to 11:00pm tonight, It's a celebration for the last day of term! I also heard that you have to bring a date and it has to be the opposite gender." Lydia informed them. "Ugh, Bebe probably set it up so we couldn't come." Lucky groaned, "Don't worry Lucky! We'll find people!" Abigail said positively. "Yeah, you're right!" Lucky replied with a smile.

"Hey, Pru?" Abigail asked, "Yeah?" Pru replied, "Are you gonna ask Sahir?" Abigail asked her. Pru blushed, "Uh, I guess.." She muttered. "What?" Lucky asked. "I said, I gu-" Pru was cut off by none other than Sahir, "Pru!" He exclaimed, walking towards them "H-Huh? Oh h-hi Sahir!" Pru stuttered. "Could you come with me for a second?" He asked, "O-oh, Yeah!" Pru replied while dismounting Chica Linda. Sahir grabbed Pru's hand and took her somewhere. "Ooh~ You think he's going to ask her?" Lucky asked Abigail, "For sure!" Abigail replied with a smile, "Well, I have to go! I have to find a date." Lydia said, waving goodbye to Lucky and Abigail. "Bye, Lyds!" The girls chorused. "What do you want to do now?" Lucky asked. "Let's go for a ride down by the beach!" Abigail exclaimed. "Ooh, Good idea! Wanna come Chica Linda?" Lucky said, Chica Linda neighed. Lucky giggled, "I'll take that as a yes! C'mon, Race you!" Lucky and Spirit took off, followed by Abigail and Boomerang, with Chica Linda not far behind.

After the ride along the beach, the two girls decided to head back to their dorm, to pack as they are leaving the campus and heading back home to Miradero tomorrow.

June 1st,
Friday, 3:00pm,
The PALs dorm.
Third POV.

When Lucky and Abigail were packing, Pru suddenly barged into the room with the brightest smile on her face, "So~ How'd it go?" Lucky asked, "He asked me to the bonfire!" Pru squealed. "That's great, Pru!" Abigail said excitedly. "You should get packing though." Lucky told Pru, "Yeah, I will." Pru said, non-stop smiling. Abigail and Lucky giggled.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door, "I'll get it." Lucky said, Lucky answered the door and there stood a boy, Alex. "Oh, hey! What do you need, Alex?" Lucky asked. "Wanna go to the bonfire with me? As friends. I honestly just wanna go since I have nothing to do tonight and you were the only girl I could think of." He explained. "Huh? Oh sure, as friends though." Lucky agreed, "Okay, We'll meet, go in together then we can part ways." Alex said, "Okay, I'll see ya at 7 then." Lucky waved bye. "See ya." Alex walked away. "Ooh~ You have a date!" Pru said. "What? Alex? Pfft, no way. We're just friends." Lucky said, "Plus..." Lucky started, "Y'know what, never mind." She changed her mind. "Let's continue packing, shall we?" She asked, "Yeah." Pru agreed. And that they did, The spent the next few hours, Packing, talking and getting ready for the bonfire.

June 1st,
Friday, 7:00pm,
Palomino Bluffs beach.
Third POV.

Alex and Lucky arrived at the bonfire and parted ways soon after. Lucky walked over to Pru, Abigail and Maricela. "Hey guys!" Lucky greeted, "Hey, Lucky," Pru said. "Who did you come with Abigail?" Lucky asked, "Beef! He asked me soon after Alex asked you, but just as friends." Abigail smiled, "How about you, Maricela?" Lucky asked, turning to the red head. "Oh! I invited Turo! He over at the fire, roasting marshmallows!" Maricela answered, "Actually, I'm going to head over to him, Au revoir, PALMs!" Maricela exclaimed as she walked over to Turo. "Awh, they'd make such a cute couple!" Abigail exclaimed, "Right?"
Lucky agreed.

For the rest of the night, Lucky talked with basically everyone she knew and some new people, Overall the night was great, then at 10:30pm, The PALs left. They reached their dorm room and went to bed.
