Apollo

Apollo watched his mother carefully as she labeled boxes. Her eyes were red and her clothes rumpled.

She had been crying...

Again.

It was getting frustrating and annoying hearing her sobs through the walls.

But Apollo couldn't blame her.

He too did not want to move to some small town in Iowa. He wanted to say in Los Angeles where his friends were. Where his...

Apollo shook his head rapidly and turned around to walk up the stairs.

"Apollo honey," his mother called after him, "come help your father with these boxes."

Apollo rolled his eyes.

"You know I think I'm going to go take a nap before we-"

"Apollo" she snapped

He sighed and shook his head in defeat and went to help his father who was currently loading there last bit of luggage in the car.

"Did your mother send you?" He asked as he lifted the suitcase in the trunk

"She did," he responded, "she thought you might need help?"

His dad let out a laugh then frowned.

"I'm fine," he said, "pretty sure she just wanted to be alone for a while..."

Both of them looked back at where his mother was in the house.

He was right.

She did need to be alone.

After all the bullshit that happened to them, she deserved some alone time.

"Listen Apollo..." his dad started and Apollo cringed.

Here we go

"I know this move isn't what you had in mind..." he said, "but it'll be good for us. It'll help us get away from all the bad memories!"

"You mean the bad memories you created," a voice snarled

Both boys turned around.

"Elena..." Apollo's father said with a sigh

Apollo's mother had tear stains down her face and was clutching a frame to her chest.

"YOU RUINED US!" She screamed

Apollo and his dad flinched in surprise as his mother threw down the frame to the floor, shattering it.

She stormed back in the house and slammed the door on her way in.

Apollo glanced down at the photo.

In it stood him, his mother, his father and...

His sister.

The flight was tense. No one spoke to each other but Apollo's mother insisted that he sat next to her.

She was...

Clingy.

Apollo couldn't blame her though.

After losing one child and then almost losing the second one she had to be traumatized.

The scars that littered his wrist burned in anticipation as the plane landed.

_

"Wow," Apollo muttered as he stared at the huge house in front of him
