I woke up to the sun shining through my room window and not a cloud in sight. I laid in bed for an few extra minutes before getting out of bed and getting dressed. I looked there my closet and decided to wear some simple gray ripped skinny jeans, a long sleeve tucked in, but still kinda baggy, with a studded belt and some simple 3 inch platform boots. I added a simple black leather choker with studs, a chain, my pendant, and simple pentagram loop earrings. I debated doing any makeup, I eventually decided that some simple makeup would be nice. I but on some concealer and foundation, then I did a simple smokey eye look and put on some fake lashes, I also put on some black lipstick. I grabbed my apartment key and my car key and headed out. I walked down the hallway, checking my phone for any notifications and answering a few text messages. I plugged my headphones into my phone and listened to some music, I pressed the elevator down button and waited for it to come up to my level. A few other people showed up to wait for the elevator too. Eventually to many people were waiting so I decided to take the stairs down instead. I gave a quick nod to the person holding the elevator door for me and walked away, not wanting to deal with people in a cramped space before my morning coffee. I jogged down the stairs, careful to not drop my phone and to not trip. I made it down to the lobby of the apartment building and I pushed open the door, the brisk fall air nipping at my nose, I looked around a bit and decided to walk to the coffee shop, it was a beautiful day so why not. I pocketed my car keys and turned my music up, I happily walked down the street looking through store fronts, occasionally giving a head nod or a quiet hello to a passerby. I gave a nice couple some directions and pet a few dogs, I eventually made it to the coffee shop. I opened the door at was hit with the bitter sweet aroma of coffee and pastries. I took my headphones out and yelled hello to the baristas like usual.

"Hey Alex." May, the main barista calls to me,"the usual?"

"Yes please May." I called back, waving to the few high school girls who were staring at me.

"Coming right up sweetie."

"Thanks." I said, pulling a chair out at a table in the corner and sitting down.

I sat down and looked out the window, admiring the yellow, orange and red tones of the leaves on the street trees. It was beautiful. I always enjoyed fall, the leaves, the weather, it was peaceful and calm. I grabbed a book from my bag and started reading, I had just finished a chapter when my name was called for my coffee. I looked up to see May putting my drink on the counter so I closed my book and got up, I pushed my chair in and walked over. Just as I took the first step towards the counter the door opened which was unusual this early. I checked my watch and it was about 6:30 am, so it was unusual for anyone to be here this early; which is why I was always here this early. I didn't bother to look at whoever it was not my business and it was probably just some college kid up for finals. I grabbed my drink and thanks May, we talked for a bit then I relised that person was behind me waiting to order so I went back to my seat. I sat down and picked my book back up, taking a quick sip of my ice coffee, but curiosity got the best of me when I saw the high schoolers in the corner pointing at the mystery guy and whispering about him. I put my book down and looked over at the young man ordering, not expecting what I saw.        The man standing at the counter ordering was not just some college kid, he looked to be about my age so we probably was in college, he just wasn't your stereotypical college kid. He had wavy black hair that went down to about his jawline and shaved sides. He was wearing black skinny jeans and black combat boots, he was wearing a sport tank top with some band logo on it. He was quite handsome. He also had snake bit piercings and and pierced ears, he had both his lobes pierced and three cartilage piercings on his left ear. He also had a full tattoo sleeve on his left arm, thats what I could see. I caught myself staring at the striking man and quickly looked away before he caught me too. I guess I wasn't fast enough since I saw May look at me and smirk, she then said something to the man and pointed at me. I quietly cursed under my breath knowing she probably said something embarrassing about me. I took another sip of my coffee and picked my book back up, I watched May and the guy talk for about 10 minutes before she handed him a bag and he walked away, I stopped paying attention to him after that. I read about 10 or 20 more pages when I spotted a pair of combat boots standing next to me.
