Reagan
I sat up straighter in my seat when my mom pulled into the driveway of our new home, a gray bungalow. We had just moved to Boston after my parents divorce so I could live with my mom.
Mom looked over at me and smiled "We're here. Sadie, your cousin and your aunt will be here any minute to help bring the boxes inside." Just then another car pulled into the driveway and a girl jumped out followed by a woman. "Laura! Sadie! How great to see you!" My mother exclaimed as she hugged her sister.
Sadie came over to me and wrapped her arms around me in a tight hug. She reached up and tucked a strand of her blond hair behind her ear. "Oh my gosh! I'm so glad your here! Your going to love Boston!" I laughed "I hope so."
...
The next day my alarm blared. It was the first day of my junior year and I was a bit nervous. The day before Sadie offered to drive me to school, so she would be here in an hour. I got ready and was eating breakfast when Sadie stuck her head through the door.
"Hey girl. Time to go. We still have to pick up Daria." Daria was Sadie's best friend who I would soon be meeting for the first time. I ate my last spoon of cereal and put my dishes in the sink.
We drove and ended up at a brick two story house. Sadie honked and a Daria came out the door. As she walked to the car her auburn curly hair blew in the wind.
She opened the back door and said, "Ughh, I hate school. Getting up early is such a pain!" Sadie laughed "As you can probably tell, Daria isn't a morning person." Sadie backed out of the driveway and I turned around in my seat. "It's nice to meet you." "You too! Sadie was so excited when she found out you were moving here. She couldn't stop talking about it. It's too bad about your parents though." "Yeah." I sighed. I missed my dad, but maybe a new start would be good.

The bell rang and I got up from my seat, gathering my things. My best friend, Jace, came up beside me and patted me on the back. "It's lunch, finally!" I laughed. Jace had brown curly hair and brown eyes that almost every girl got lost in. He was muscular, and even though I wasn't as strong, I was taller than him by two inches. We both played on the volleyball team. At our school volleyball was a big deal. We had won the state championship the last two years in a row.
We walked side by side to the cafeteria and suddenly Jace stepped in front of me. "Hey Cal, you're coming to my party tonight, right?" "Of course. Wouldn't miss it. Besides Dave's in New York." David, my stepdad often went to New York for business trips, which left me alone in our gigantic two story house. It was lonely, but better than when he was there. "Good." Jace replied.
When we reached the cafeteria we sat down at a table with our other friends Isaac and Levi. "Guys, this party is going to be awesome. We've got a keg and my parents got a new foosball table!" Jace exclaimed. Levi snickered and said "Can't wait".
I looked behind him and saw Sadie, Daria and another girl I didn't recognize approaching. "Hey babe" Daria said as she snaked her arms around Isaac's waist and kissed him. Sadie was next to her and I swear I saw her steal a few glances at Jace.
Sadie suddenly cleared her throat and said "Hey guys, I wanted to introduce you to my cousin, Reagan. She just moved here from Texas." Reagan stood beside Sadie looking shy. She had stunning blue eyes that sparkled in the light and wavy dark brown hair. "Reagan, this is Jace, Calvin, Isaac and Levi" "Nice to meet you all." Reagan drawled in a slight southern accent and smiled.
She was so beautiful I couldn't stop staring. But I can't get too close to her. I don't deserve her or anyone. I forced myself to look away, but I knew that she would be hard to resist.
