~Letting go has to be one of the hardest things anyone could do. It could take days or even years, maybe a whole lifetime. I thought it would never happen, even in the afterlife. It all started with a boy. It all ended in a car. In between there were struggles, pain, friendship, and love. Throughout this journey, there were many trials and tribulations being faced. But there was friendship. This boy met a girl. This boy would soon become her best friend. He would also become her guardian angel. He reached his last breath in a car. Some say it was his fault and some say otherwise. But at this point, who cares whose fault it was? The longer we linger onto that night, the longer it takes for his spirit to be set free from our hearts.Spirit: the non-physical part of a person regarded as a person's true self and as capable of surviving physical death or separation.
His spirit still lingers in this girl's heart. But its trapped because she won't let go. The hardest thing to do. So he sat down and talked to her. He reminded her that he will always love her no matter what condition they are in. He told her that his spirit would still be there when she released her hands from the bed. He promised. She hesitated. So he said, "You have to let go of the bed eventually. You can't keep your hands here forever. I promise that I'll still be here when you let go, you just won't see or hear me anymore, unless you think about me. But all you have to do is let go." She couldn't bring herself to doing it, but he helped her through the moment. Her arms became weak and, one after the other, her arms fell to the ground and she felt a weight lifted from her shoulders. But she still cried. Not because she was sad but because she was able to see him again and hear him again after 3 months. Those were the best 10 minutes she could've ever asked for. When she looked up and didn't see him on the bed anymore, she felt him smiling down on her. She felt his happiness, something she hasn't felt since that day he last smiled at her. All because she let go, he was finally free. She is me and he is Sam. Sam Ginn. Her best friend. Her brother. Her Guardian Angel. Sam Ginn.
