Goodbye: a screenplay

Ch. 1: A Rough Day at School

/opens in a school with two girls talking to each other/

Sarah: so how was sixth period?
Lily: I think it went good.
Sarah: hey, um, do you wanna... Um...
Lily: what?
Sarah: I-I know you don't have any friends and all and I was thinking...
Lily: yeah?
*bell rings*
Sarah: never mind. I will just tell you some other time. Goodbye, Lily!
Lily: ok... Um goodbye, I guess!

*both wave to each other, camera follows lily home, who walks alone. As lily is walking, one of the "popular" girls "accidentally" bumps into her. Lily opens the door to her house and walks into her room*

/le time skip/

Beth: how was school today, sweetie?
Lily: It was good, I guess.
Beth: you guess? What happened?
Lily: I had to say goodbye to someone who I think wanted to be friends with me...
Beth: hmm... Don't think of is as goodbye. Think of it as "see you later". Ok?
Lily: yeah, whatever. But I won't see her until after Christmas break. What if she forgets about me?
Beth: who could forget about you?
Lily: apparently a lot of people.
Beth: don't think that. No one will forget you.
Lily: right. I better go to bed anyway. Goodnight.
Beth: goodnight sweetie. *kisses her forehead and exits the room*
Lily: *snuggles into bed*
