Chapter 4

I looked so unfamiliar to myself but those were my eyes staring back at me in the mirror. I put on a pair of ballerina flats. I put the bracelet Draco got me on and my mother's locket and a black silk choker on, with black earrings on. Then I looked at the time it was already ten past six so I walked out of my room towards the dining and dance hall. I looked for a familiar face.
I soon came across one.
"Cleo." Pansy said then looked at me "Wow you look amazing."
"Thanks so do you" I said she was wearing a black dress that was tight on the top and was like a princess gown on the bottom with black pumps and silver jewelry and light makeup.
"Thanks." She said and we walked to the dance hall.
"There are so many people here." I Said
"Don't worry you'll be fine." She said and we walked towards the crowd of people. Soon I see the kids from Draco's room and I see Draco. I was about to turn away except I was stopped
"Hi Cleopatra you look beautiful." Adrian said
"Thank you Adrian" I said blushing
"Would you like to dance?" he asked putting his hand out
"I would love to." I said taking his hand "But I will warn you I don't know how to dance."
"Just follow my lead." He said taking one hand putting it on my waist the other hand held mine and my spare hand landed on his shoulder and we began dancing. I saw Draco dancing with Astoria. I don't know why but my blood boiled seeing her with him. Soon the dance was over and I went to sit down.
"You do look amazing Cleo." It was Draco    
"Thank you." I said
"What, no happy birthday? No thanks for inviting me? No you look good too Draco?" he said
"Happy birthday, thanks for inviting me, you look good too Draco." I said trying not to make eye contact with him.
"Did I do something?" he said
"No." I said
"Then what happened, what did your father tell you?" Draco questioned
"Nothing." I said
"What with the one word answer?" he questioned
"I don't know." I answered truthfully
"Do you hate me or something? Cuz earlier you didn't seem to hate me." He said with a smirk and sat next to me
"Shouldn't you be getting back to Astoria?" I asked at him
"Are you jealous Cleo?" he teased
"No" I snapped at him
"I think the only reason I danced with her is because I saw you dancing with Pucey." He said
"Adrian asked me to dance. He is quite sweet." I said
"Yea that's why you had to keep taking his hand off your ass." He said
"Well his hand kept falling." I said
"I bet you wouldn't move my hand." He smirked, "Would you like to dance with me Cleo?"
"I would too. And I guess one dance wouldn't hurt." I said getting up with him then there was a really slow song on and he wrapped both his arms around my waist and I wrapped my arms around his neck and we danced for what seemed like an eternity until my father cut in.
