Chapter one: Sweet dreams

"We have to go now, they found us." A dark man with a husky voice said as he looked out the window. Seeing a light growing brighter coming from the woods. He quickly closed the curtains and turned to a dark-toned woman with light blonde hair.

"What about the baby? They can't find her, they will kill her!" The woman whispered, cradling the baby in her arms.

The man rushed over to the bed in the corner and pushed the bed to the center, revealing a secret door.

"I've got a plan, just trust me" he said, looking up at the woman.

"Aislin?" A soft voice whispered

"Wake up! You literally slept Mr. Flinns lecture notes again.", the same voice said again.

Aislin opened her eyes to see a blurry Elara standing in front of her.

Elara started tapping her foot on the ground and placed her hands on her hip. "It's time for lunch."

Aislin lifted her head off the desk and rubbed her eyes. "It's not my fault, he's so boring."

Aislin got up and gathered her things from off the ground before going to lunch with Elara.

"So what were you dreaming about this time?" Elara said as she and Aislin walked to the lunchroom.

"How did you know I was dreaming?"

"Well, because you were breathing kinda heavy, and you kept mumbling."

"Geez. Was I snoring too?"

"Yes, almost as loud as my dad maybe even louder" Elara chuckled

Aislin's face began to turn red "Really?! That's so embarrassing."

"I'm just messing with you, what were you saying about the dream?"

"It was a woman with blonde hair like yours, maybe more lighter. She was talking about-" before she could finish her sentence, Aislin's body collapsed onto the cold tiles of the school ground.

"Aislin!" Elara rushed to help her up.

"I'm so sorry. Are you okay? Do you need to go see the nurse?" A shaking voice said.

Aislin put her hand on her head and rubbed it. "Yeah, I'm good, everything is okay."

Aislin looked up to see a girl with thick glasses and brown wavy shoulder length hair.. She had on oversize denim overalls and had a black turtleneck underneath.

"I'm very sorry. I should've moved my bag over more." The girl pushed her glasses up onto her face.

"You look familiar," Elara said.

"Yeah, we all have Mr. Flinn's class together," she said.

"I still feel terrible about what just happened. Can I buy you something for lunch?"

"If you don't mind getting me one of those delicious chocolate chip muffins"

The girl tucked her hair behind her head "Deal, by the way my name is Sage".

"Deal. Nice to meet you, Sage. My name is Aislin, and this is Elara." Aislin said, putting out her to shake.

"I know who you guys are." Sage smiled, shaking Aislin's hand.

Everyone knew who Elara Walker and Aislin Lee were. Along with their other friend Chastity Harlington. They were the "It" girls of StarFall Charter High School. Even if you didn't know who they were, you would quickly learn because everyone talked about them. All the girls were obsessed with them. While all the boys would fonded over them, especially Elara. Since freshman year she was at the top of the volleyball team's "Starfall Hottest list." Weather people liked them or not they would still talk about their diets, fashion, beauty, friends, and families. If you didn't know them they would just be regular 16 year old girls, but to those who did they were a gateway. If you got in with them then you would go places.
