Bakugou pov

What the fuck was that?!

I rush out of the classroom, finding Deku and the other new kids sitting beside a bed in the infirmary. I see them signing in some sort of way. Probably some sort of code. 

They laugh softly before their smiles flicker and fade. The noise sounds like it hasn't been heard or used in years. They look at the floor grimly, sighing and continuing to talk in the weird code. 

The girl in the hospital bed lifts her shaky hand, placing it on Deku's cheek, cupping it. I raise my eyebrows, curious as to what is going on. They blush slightly, looking at eachother. But no sign of a smile or happiness. Just pure emotionless affection. 

I step away from the infirmary, grimacing at the trail of blood that led here. I walk back to class where I see my classmates and friends talking shakily, still shaken up and in shock. I look at the side of the class, bullet holes buried in the wall. 

I stare at the hole in the glass, the building standing in the distance. The gun set up on the building still stands, practically taunting us. I look at the bullet holes in the wall, realizing that they spelled out a name.

Deku.

"Bakugou-", Mr. Aizawa calls. But it's too late. Once again, I'm bolting out of the classroom and to the infirmary. 

I go into the room, grabbing the attention of Deku and the "Alphas", or so Deku called them. "Y-you might want to come see this.", I pant. Deku turns back to the girl on the bed and gives her a reassuring look. He signs to the other people in the room and gets up.

He stands next to me, making me shiver. His glare is icy and emotionless. What happened to the Izuku that I knew?

He follows me down the hall and back into the classroom. By the time we're back, the rest of the class is crowding around the bullet holes. Once he sees them, his eyes turn to horror and panic. The weird thing is, his expression doesn't change. Just his usually emotionless eyes. 

He nods and steps out of the room, his walking professional and silent. The other new kids run to him and he signs to them. Their expression turns to concern as Deku's face twists into panic. 

His walking becomes unsteady as he leans against the wall, sliding down onto the floor. He covers his face with his hands and lets out a shaky breath while the other kids crowd him and comfort him. But...

Why?

Deku pov

I step into the classroom and immediately recognize the persons signature work. I panic internally, knowing exactly what the person behind this means. 

I'm coming back.

I walk out of the room and meet up with the other Alphas. I tell them what happened just as my knees begin to give out. 

I try to shake the memories out of my head, but they come back as vivid as ever. 

I groan and let out a shaky breath as they comfort me and hold me.

I feel numb...I can't see...

My lungs aren't getting enough air and I try to gulp in breath after breath. My hands go to my shoulders and I pat myself rhythmically to regulate my heart rate.

I open my eyes but everything is bleary and out of focus. I close them again and gulp, attempting to find something, anything normal to cling onto.

Himari/Bear pov

I get out of the infirmary, my walking unsteady. I walk down the hall when I suddenly hear something odd. I go towards the noise to find Deku breathing deeply and patting himself. I purse my lips. It's a normal ritual for him during panic attacks. 

I walk up to the others and notice them huddled around Deku with their guns drawn, ready to take down an outside threat. I signal for them to put their weapons down as I crouch in front of Deku. I touch his right hand as it pats against his shoulder, letting him know that I'm here. 

He opens his eyes and they soften. His adam's apple bobs in his throat as he gulps and exhales shakily. As his eyes close again, he takes a deep breath and stands up, shaking off his earlier panic. 

He glares at the others, his normal self back. Weather, Wave and Thousand breathe sighs of relief as they leave Deku and us as we are.
