It was mid August, and the Opas family was enjoying their family game night, when they got an unexpected call. There family consisted of two parents Janice and Rick Opas and three girls, Janet(13), Jasmine(11), and Joanna Opas(6). They enjoyed spending family time together. They were a very close family. It was the hottest month of the year and their air conditioner was out, but as long as they had each other, they had nothing to complain about. The Opas family was gathered around their square oak table when the house phone rang. Once Mr.Opas realized it was the police he shooed the girls into the kitchen. Mr.Opas had just heard his parents where dead. They had been in a head on crash, and where completely smashed.

The funeral was scheduled 2 weeks later. The two weeks leading up to the funeral where terrible. The girls locked themselves in their rooms, the house was always a mess, and Janice and Rick couldn't even have a regular conversation.

The day had finally come, they got up around seven and slowly moped around, eating, showering, and dressing. They all new it was going to be a long sad day. Joanna was the only one who didn't really understand she was only six, but everyone else was sad so she joined in. The hardest part was telling the girls. How do you tell little girls their Nanny and Pop-Pop are gone and they can never see them again.

They got in their car around nine to be their by 9:30am the service started at 10:00am. The funeral was kind of frozen, not real. They requested a pirate burial and that's when it hit, nothing would be the same, they where gone.
