When it comes to environmental concerns, they responded "Issues of concern include: the capability of the GMO to escape and potentially introduce the engineered genes into wild populations; the persistence of the gene after the GMO has been harvested; the susceptibility of non-target organisms (e.g. insects which are not pests) to the gene product; the stability of the gene; the reduction in the spectrum of other plants including loss of biodiversity; and increased use of chemicals in agriculture. The environmental safety aspects of GM crops vary considerably according to local conditions.
There's a concern about the growing influence of the chemical industry on agriculture, their response to this concern is "The exclusive use of herbicide-tolerant GM crops would also make the farmer dependent on these chemicals. These groups fear a dominant position of the chemical industry in agricultural development, a trend which they do not consider to be sustainable."
Based on the World Tax Journal's paper "Taxing Robots? From the Emergence of an Electronic Ability to Pay to a Tax on Robots or the Use of Robots" which was published on May 2017; there's a possibility of a legal personality to robots could lead to the emergence of an electronic ability to pay, which may be recognized for tax purposes. "In this respect, legal definitions of robots have already been suggested internationally and they tend to focus on the autonomy and decision-making process of robots. Contrary to machines, the decisive factor appears to rely on the existence of AI, which includes sufficient autonomy, the capacity to learn, progress and render decisions. In other words, the definitions should take into account whether the robots can be considered "smart" robots." Imagine having a world where in humans and robots have same legal rights since they already have cloned characteristics that humans possess. Jobs for humans will be divided into two since robots with same brain and physical capacity as humans already existed. Unemployment for humans will dramatically increase since humans with power or capitalist mind will hire robots employees because they are on the favorable side of the business proprietors. Robot employees cost lesser than humans. The third world country poor citizens shall suffer.
According to populationmatters.org, "Until the time of Napoleon, there were less than 1 billion people on Earth at any one time. Since the Second World War, we have been adding a billion people to the global population every 12-15 years. Our population is more than double today what it was in 1970." Human population increasing as the time goes by. Human population is directly proportional to the consuming of earth's limited resources. Human demands are increasing as they discover more things. Technology help human's increasing population to satisfy and support these infinite needs. Paper towel or tissue paper is one of the hygienic needs of humans. Especially to the races that are located on western countries. According to a patent about the invention supported by Google Patents "Machine for manufacturing paper such as tissue paper" recorded that "Several other objects of the present invention include achieving a former wherein the dry matter content of the web is higher than has heretofore been possible prior to drying for example at a Yankee cylinder, providing a machine of simple and inexpensive construction primarily as a result of minimizing the number of expensive suction rolls which are required as well as the number of additional members which are subject to wear, and providing for the paper machine of the invention the advantages of perfusion drying by applying a pattern embosser which is inexpensive and results in lower operating costs." Through technology, the production of the paper towel faster in order to meet public's demand at lower selling price.
