Currently, you were bandaging up your stomach area, as Ryūko sat next to you, talking to you.

"You need to stop being so selfless sometimes. I can't count how many times you've gotten yourself hurt." Ryūko says, with a hint of sadness in her voice.

You only sighed, then looked at her with a smile as you stopped bandaging yourself. "The only reason I'm being so selfless is, I guess because, in a way, I want to redeem myself for all the terrible things I've done in the past.  I can't go back in time and tell myself, "Hey dickhead, stop doing this," so, I guess this is my way of trying to make myself feel better."

Ryūko only hugs you as you finish putting on the bands. You hug her back, only to hear sobbing.

"( Y/N )....I don't want to lose you... like I lost everyone else in my family...." Ryūko says, tears falling down from her face.

You hug Ryūko tightly as you too, began crying a bit. "Don't worry Ryūko, I'll do everything in my power, to make sure I won't leave you."

You used your hand to bring up Ryūko's head, and you kissed her, with her kissing back.

"P-Promise..?" Ryūko says, wiping the tears off her face. You only smile at her.

"I promise."

"Today, I am giving the Honnōji Academy Student Council system a fresh start!" Satsuki says as she stands from her tower, looking down at the crowd of students.

You, Ryūko, Mako and every other student stand before her. You listen intently.

"All students have the right to attack all other students! Secret meetings, scheming, backstabbing, anything goes! Seven days from now, reach the schoolyard alive! And then, use your strength to lay claim to your social standing once again! THIS SHALL BE HONNŌJI ACADEMY'S FIRST NATURALS ELECTION!" Satsuki yells out.

You only stare at her, with a serious expression on your face. "What exactly is she trying to do? "Naturals election?" I get the feeling that this isn't going to end well."

Satsuki looks at you, then smirks. "In this election, you will not be choosing some candidate! You will be choosing yourself! Your standing! Your strength! Your way of life! At 8:30 AM, seven days from now, a Sudden Death Runoff Election will be held with the survivors who arrive in this schoolyard!"

You look around only to see the death glares and insane smiles from the students. You began to think about the situation at hand. "I need to protect Ryūko and Mako as best I can. From what I can tell, these students will be bloodthirsty until the end. I need to come up with a plan, and fast."

"And now, fellow comrades of Honnōji Academy!" Satsuki looks at Ryūko, then to you again, now grinning widely.

"FIGHT!"

You, Ryūko and Mako looks around you, to see the crowd of bloodthirsty students.

"This isn't going to end well." You say.
