the first account i made was my main, obviously. i made this account ( lestia-lovegood ) back in january for reading only, then deleted the app not too long afterward. i redownloaded it in april as an impulsive quarantine decision, revamped the account, and started publishing some of my works as well as reading.
i don't do very much on this account aside from writing and talking to people. i don't use it for roleplaying or anything, it's just emma's account. it's where i keep my reading lists, it's where i socialize outside of roleplay; it's just something to fall back on.
so all in all, there's not much i have to do when it comes to managing my main. it may not be the same in your case, i know a lot of people spend almost all of their time on their mains, but i've found that it's just easier to switch over there every once in a while and see how everyone is doing. i check my main when i wake up, and then three or four times throughout the day when my other accounts are inactive and i'm bored.
