Freddy couldn't help but feel as if someone had just stabbed him right where his heart was. He broke the promise between him and Bonnie. He could feel tears sting his eyes as he transformed into his human form and left the basement. He just wanted to be alone. He then put on a hat to cover his bear ears and hid his tail in his pants.
He got out of the pizzeria. The golden rays of the sun could already  be seen emerging from the horizon. Freddy let out a sigh as he walked around. He didn't even know where he was going but it was as of his legs had a mind of his own. He then suddenly stopped. He was at a playground, not any playground but where he met Bonnie as kids.
Flashback...
"Mom! Can we go to the new playground today?" Freddy asked as he jumped around his mom excitedly. "Of course dear." She responded. After a few minutes, Freddy was at the park with his mom. As usual, his mom sat on a bench and took out a magazine to read. There were many kids playing around that day but one caught Freddy's attention. One child seated at the farthest corner at the playground. He was playing with some toy's. Just then, two kids came and snatched his toys. "Aww...little Jeremy likes to plays with toys like a little baby." One of the bullies mocked. The then snatched the toys and threw them.
"Hey!leave him alone!" Freddy shouted at the bullies as he came to defend the boy. "And who are you?some kind of hero?" The bully asked mockingly. "You better leave before I call my parents." Freddy said aggressively. The bullies left and returned the toys. "Are you okay?" Freddy asked as he offered his hand to the boy. "P-please don't h-hurt me." The boy suddenly said as he curled himself up. "Don't worry I only want to be your friend."
"Y-you do?"
"Of course."
From then on, the two would meet in the park during weekends. Freddy would protect him from bullies and it wasn't long before he invited him for dinner at their place and their parents became friends. They were inseparable. And it wasn't long before it reached Freddy's birthday where he wanted to go to the famous Freddy fazbear to celebrate with his friends.
"Hey Gabriel?" Jeremy asked as he helped his best friend prepare for his birthday.
"Yeah?"
"Did you mean what you told me when we first met?"
"Of course. I meant every word." Gabriel said as he noticed the disturbed expression on his friend. He then put a hand on Jeremy's shoulder and looked at him with recurring eyes.
"I promise that I'll always protect you even if it costs my own life." Freddy said.
"And I also promise to protect you." Jeremy said as he hugged Gabriel.
"Kids! It's time to go!" Gabriel's mom shouted as she started the car
End of flashback.
Freddy sat down on one of the swings. It was Bonnie's favourite when he was a kid. Freddy couldn't control the tears streaming down his face as a few sobs escaped his mouth. He had broken his promise and even worse was that Bonnie couldn't remember anything. Their childhood together just gone like smoke in the wind. Freddy has never cried this much before except the time when he realised he'd never see his parents again. And at least Bonnie was there with him during that time. Now he felt alone as he blamed himself. The sun had fully risen and the pizzeria was about to open at any time but Freddy didn't care. They had replacements so nobody would notice that he was gone and Foxy and Chica would think that he'd gone to do some paper work since Mr Afton was coming back to work today. Right now he didn't want to be disturbed by anyone. Since he was a child, his mom would tell him how sacred promises were and it was best not to promise if you couldn't keep one. He decided to go to a nearby park and spend the rest of the day there. He just couldn't face Bonnie even if he didn't remember him. He wasn't even sure if he would come back to the pizzeria. He couldn't even protect the person he cared about.

Poor Freddy. He valued his and Bonnie's friendship and promised to protect him. Anyways, hope you enjoyed!
