Chapter 4

Dani POV

I woke up in my crib, "daddy!" I yelled starting to cry. I heard footsteps & then my bedroom door flew open "it's okay princess I'm here" daddy cooed picking me up in his arms "mommy's here" daddy said as he closed the door & we climbed down the stairs

"Dani!" Mommy squealed "guess what mommy & daddy did?" Daddy asked sitting me down on the couch "what?" I asked looking up at him "we set up your iPad & put games in it!" Mommy squealed smiling "here you go" daddy said handing me the iPad

"are you hungry?" Mommy asked me. I nodded my head yes & she took me to the kitchen. She started cooking something as I played on my iPad. "Here you go" mommy said putting a plate of eggs in front of me. I set my iPad down & let mommy feed me

"What are we gonna do today?" I ask mommy when I was all finished "we are gonna stay inside & just chill" mommy said washing the plate "can you, me, & daddy play?" I ask her as we walked to the living room

"I'd love to & I know your dad would love to as well" mommy said as we walked into the living room "daddy wanna play with me & mommy upstairs?" I asked daddy setting my iPad on the couch

"Aww, baby girl I want to but I gotta to a meeting" daddy said grabbing his keys & jacket "but I'll try to come back early so we can play okay?" Daddy said kissing my forehead

"Okay" I said a little upset. Daddy kissed my cheek before leaving. I sighed sitting on the couch "I know your upset but why don't we watch something on the TV yea?" Mommy said as I cuddled up next to her "can we watch Spongebob?" I ask mommy "of course" mommy said pushing some buttons before Spongebob came on

"Can you make me a bottle?" I ask her "yea I'll be right back" mommy said walking off into the kitchen, she came back with a fresh new bottle for me "thank you" I say laying my head on her lap "your welcome baby" she said as we continued watching TV

Several episodes passed & daddy still wasn't home. I got tired & passed out on mommy's lap

~later that day~

I woke up in my crib, how did I get here? "What the hell Victor!?" I heard a voice yell. I got up & climbed down the steps on my new crib, I opened the door & walked out tiptoeing down the stairs until I saw mommy & daddy with red faces. I stopped on a step looking/ listening to what was happening "well what did you want me to do!?" I saw daddy yell throwing his arms in the air

"She's your daughter Vic, our daughter! It won't kill you to miss one fucking meeting to spend some time with her!" I saw mommy scream with tears streaming her face

"Well I'm here now aren't I? Go get her & let's spend some time with her! Go on!" Daddy yelled balling his hands into fists "she's asleep, your too fucking late" mommy muttered giving daddy a face of disgust

But then daddy did something I thought he'd never do...He slapped mommy

"D-Danielle" daddy stuttered as mommy held her cheek with more tears. Mommy started walking over to the staircase & I quickly ran up to my room & pretended to be asleep "dani?" Mommy asked turning the light on

I sat up looking at her with her cheek even redder "c'mon we're leaving" mommy said packing a bag with my Pull Ups, my toys, my blanket & she grabbed some clothes as well "okay" I said climbing down my steps

Mommy held my hand as we walked down the stairs "where do you think your taking my daughter?" Daddy shrieked raising his eyebrow "oh so now she's your daughter" mommy said rolling her eyes

"She's been my daughter ever since I 1st laid eyes on her" daddy said taking hold of my other hand "but that doesn't answer my damn question where do you think your going with her?" Daddy asked growling

"I'm taking her somewhere else safe & far away from you so I know you can't slap her or mistreat her" mommy said & with that she yanked me from daddy's side & we walked to the car

"Mommy? Are you okay?" I asked after she buckled my seatbelt "yea sweetie daddy & I just got in a fight" mommy said wiping away her tears & getting behind the wheel "where are we going?" I ask yawning "we are going to my house, & you'll get to sleep with mommy in her bed" mommy said getting on the road

I sat back & relaxed but before I knew it we were already there "we're here baby" mommy said parking in the driveway "let's go" mommy said unbuckling my seatbelt

We walked to her porch & she opened the door "are you hungry love? Do you want something?" Mommy asked closing the door. I shook my head no sitting on her couch "It's late darling let's go to my room & sleep yea?" Mommy said putting my bag over her shoulder

"Okay" I said as she picked me up & carried me up the 1st set of steps before turning & climbing another set of stairs "here we are" mommy said opening the door. Mommy set me down on her bed & took out my bottle & my pacifier "which one do you want" mommy said holding them out to me

"This one!" I said pointing to my pacifier "okay here" mommy said clipping one end to my shirt while the other end had my pacifier. I popped it in my mouth sucking on it. Mommy grabbed some clothes & went to the bathroom

She came out dressed in her pj's & she wrapped her hair in a bun. She climbed into bed & pulled me next to her "g'night baby" mommy whispered in my ear before we both fell asleep
