A Sunset For Dandelion

Chapter 1

I have been the loneliest kid in this household. No mother ,no father, just servants and a grandfather who will be passing the business to me soon as the only heir. I have everything every kid ever dreamed of but I am not complete. I have been broken since the incident of my parents. Nawalan ng saysay ang buhay na inaakala ko will last forever. I guess tama ang sinasabi nila, happiness will always be replaced with much sadness. It's because everything is temporary, nothing will last forever.

"apo, how long will you be staring at your parents' portait?"
Nilingon ko si lolo which is standing by my side right now. He may be old but he has the health of a wild boar. I just looked at him with an unexplainable look in my eyes. I may be a mere 10 years old girl but I already experienced the worst that can happen to a person. I lost both my parents due to an plane crash accident. They were both headed to Hawaii to spend some time with each other after completing all the works for the company but then fate changed it.

"lolo, will there come a time na mawawala ka rin  sa mundong to?" I asked him with a cold expression.

He just laughed a little and answered, "ofcourse, and when that day comes I want you to have your own family and live your life to the fullest-"

he grabbed my shoulders and kneeled and then hugged me,

"Dandelion, your name really sounds sad, I don't know why your mom chose that for you. My lovely granddaughter, everything has a reason like the snow melting because spring will come and flowers will bloom and their new chapters begin. There will be a new beginning for you, and I will be there to guide you with the little time I have remain in this world."

Nang masabi ni lolo ang mga salitang yun wala akong masyadong maintindihan siguro dahil masyado pa akong bata. But hopefully I will understand once I grow up. Tumayo na si lolo at hinawakan ako sa kamay habang naglalakad palayo sa portrait ng mga namayapa kong magulang. Inihatid niya ako sa kwarto atsaka hinalikan sa noo

"have a good night my lovely granddaughter",

after that sinirado na nya ang pintuan at tuluyan ng umalis kasi hindi sya dito nakatira.

I stared blankly at the ceiling while slowly falling sleep.

Kinabukasan, lolo came and gifted me with my favorite chocolate cake from a certain bakeshop.
"oh, kumusta apo, nakatulog kaba ng maayos?"
tanong nya habang lumuhod at niyakap ako,
"yes, po lolo, I slept well as you instructed", I answered. He faced me and then smiled.

After that, nasa main hall kami sa mansyon at kumakain ng cake while watching my favorite anime, I saw some people entering the mansion and walked straight to us. Lolo stood up and offered me his hands.

"Magandang umaga po Sir Demund Rusell at Dandelion Cy",

bati nila kay lolo at sa akin sabay bow.

"magandang umaga rin,"

reply ni lolo sa kanila habang yumuko naman ako bilang pagbati. Umupo na kami ni lolo at inexplain nya sa akin na mga bago silang kasambahay dito sa mansyon since wala kaming kasambahay dito nung nabubuhay pa sila mommy at daddy, tanging driver lang ang meron at regular cleaning lady. He also explained to me that they will be working here starting today and will be looking out for me since he is always busy with loads of work from the business now that dad and mom are gone.

"apo, be good to them," sabi ni lolo while drinking a cup of tea, each of the maids goes to their designated area later after unpacking all their belongings in the maids house at the back of the mansion.
"oh speak of the devil," lolo exclaimed and pointed out a young looking guy at the front door. "Apo, I also personally appointed a  personal guard for you, come here Cedric," after that, the guy named Cedric came towards us, he was a tall guy with a nice body build and a very handsome face.
