"Psst.. have you heard? Another maid didn't want to serve them anymore, this is like the millionth time!" whispered a masked woman.

The other woman who also had a mask replied in a hushed tone, "I wonder where she is. I remember visiting that place for his debut and then the servants keep on-"

"Coming and coming, yes? Then they leave or either go missing." The other masked woman rolled her eyes at being interrupted, "Oh, whatever."

For a masquerade that Daniel invited a lot of nobles to attend to, this was awfully boring. Stephen has a black mask that looked similar to a Plague Doctor but cut and refined more. The purpose of this event held at the castle is to entertain, it is also the second celebration of the new King that inherited the throne.. somehow. Since this was before a lot of things, Stephen has his purple hair slicked back since his parents forbid styling his hair other way, of course some people notice it is Stephen but don't bother to point it out or just don't care at all.

"Hey, isn't Dan-..King Daniel taking really long?" He asked, crossing his arms as his left foot taps on the floor impatiently. Gavin looked up from the plate filled with food, "True. Maybe just taking a bit of his precious time to do things? We'll never know unless we ask later." After what seemed like hours to Stephen, he finally came and the ballroom became silent when the gigantic door that's the other entrance to this room opened. Daniel entered with a friendly smile, going to the center of the ballroom.

Opening his mouth, sugarcoated words of gratefulness and celebration were announced. "And as thanks, I have decided to hold a masquerade. You can explore some parts of the castle however if you try to sneak in on any blocked rooms... anyway! I hope you enjoy this since the chefs have worked very hard to cook the delicious meals!" Once Daniel left, the nobles whispered to each other in their social circle. Both brothers don't really interact with the others so they left the ballroom and decided to go to Daniel's room and terrorize/ask him.

Getting lost more than thrice, the two finally found his bedroom and the guards opened the door for them as they saw Daniel on his balcony. Stephen exclaimed, "Danny! We are here to bother you!" Mentioned guy turned around with a clearly irritated face with his middle finger pointed at him, "Shut up, you psychopath." The psychopathic purple yam began walking over to him with bloodlust on his eyes, Gavin intervened by going in front of him, "Bad! Don't do that!" Strongly gripping Gavin's shoulder, Stephen stared at him with a fatal glare.

If looks could kill then he would be dead.

"If all you're gonna do is mess my free time up then I would politely ask you to leave, it's a shame I can't use you." Daniel clapped, the two guards that opened the door for them dragged them forcefully but Stephen won't budge. "I could fucking kill you right now but I won't." he threatened and walked away with a destructive mood. His brother muttered sorry to Daniel and left to catch up to Stephen, his shoulder aching. It hurts but we will keep a clean record here even if they get covered up and calming him down would be the top priority.

Gavin managed to convince Stephen to go back to their home and he grudgingly complied, the ride back was silent with only the cold wind and the horse making sounds. When they got back home, the duke went to his room with a slam with an unfortunate maid entering his room once he rang the bell. Let's just say she was screaming and she was never seen again. Why would we pay attention to a background character?

        And they keep doing it back and forth.

Gavin² :: U-Uh.. hey? My name is Gavin.
Gavin¹ :: What a coincidence! Gavin's my name too!
Gavin² :: Woah! We look exactly the same too.
Gavin¹ :: True, what stuff do you do, Gavin?
Gavin² :: The occasional like helping Stephen's work—well.. more like doing everything while he does little to nothing.
Gavin¹ :: Gee.. My Stephen does his work if he's threatened to do it by Jay..

Daniel¹ & Daniel² :: This isn't a prank, right?
Daniel² :: C-Can I touch you just to prove to myself that I am not delusional at all?
Daniel¹ :: Please do.
      Daniel touches other Daniel's hair.
Daniel² :: Same fluff meter as mine. I am not hallucinating at all.
Daniel¹ :: Ah, phew! I thought that this was some weird dream.
Daniel¹ :: ....Can you stop touching my hair?
