7 hours later
A group of 3, 7 year olds could be found sitting around each other, talking and arguing over something.
One of the kids was a male who held a avoid black puppy in his arms, he was wearing a black shirt and a white jacket could be seen hanging on his arms.
One of the other kids had red near orange hair color and a simple outfit with a primarily red fabric. She seemed to be arguing passionately with the final kid.
The last one was wearing an midnight blue one piece sleepwear. She seemed extremely bored and frustrated.
"How about Anubis?" Gwen called out from her spot near the campfire grandpa Wes had placed.
"Anubis is is male, our little puppy is female." This time it was a bored Kai who countered Gwen.
"How about Inasis? It sounds similar but it has a different meaning." I came between the two arguing parties with my own name.
"Inasis. That sounds really nice." This time it was Wes who answered my inquiry.
"But Inasis is a mouthful, how about a nickname."
"Please for the love of god Gwen, we just spent 7 hours to name this little one and now you want to do all of that over again?"
"Stop arguing Gwen and Kai , how about Ina?"
"Sure."
"Ina, Ina, Ina. It rolls of the tongue pretty well and it sounds feminine enough. I agree."
We spent the next few hours playing with the energetic but shy puppy and playing one game of monopoly.
"Now kids, off to sleep. It is already nearing your bed time."
"But grandpa, it is only 10:00."
"Yes but we are leaving early tomorrow unless you want to explain to your parents why you mysteriously arrived late when all of your classmates arrived first. Plus sleeping late isn't nice for your health."
"Yes grandpa""Yes grandpa""Yes grandpa".
We went to 'Sleep' which meant meditation until it came time for the main event. I could see both Kai and Gwen excitedly fidgeting in their beds, unable to sleep for the next hour.
It was nearly 2 hours later, that I got out of bed. Before I even left my bunk, Gwen and Kai were standing ready like toddlers on a sugar rush.
"Gals, we need to wait until midnight to find it so we leave next hour."
"Then what are we doing right now?"
"We are preparing."
I looked towards grandpa Wes to see him sleeping, actually sleeping, not pretending. I got into a meditative trance and spread my mana out to cover the entire RV. I sensed no hollow walls or secret compartments but I did sense that both Kai and Gwen were both extremely excited and their energy was fluctuating. I could also sense that little Ina was sleeping peacefully, no need to take a creature to see its own kin captured.
We set out after I created a body double just incase Wes woke up for a night stroll. We have 20 minutes until midnight and a beast to locate. The first thing we did was to head to the previous den or location of the beast.
"So ben, tell us more about the creature, we weren't able to see it at all"
"Yeah, Grandpa Wes kept us from getting to see the alien."
"Well since you asked, it was a humanoid body figure with wolf like features, a tail near the tailbone on the human body, a very hunched posture, ability to switch between 4 legs and 2, purple eyes, wolf like snout and a dark almost pitch black skin color. The dna I researched shows a possible sonic attack or sonic wave."
The last sentence was pure bullshit but it was the only plausible explanation since you guys are a cartoon and I am a person from beyond this plane of reality isn't quite the best possible thing for a growing mind. I don't wanna deal with a Gwen and Kai with existential crisis. Just imagining my little angels turning into goths is giving me a head ache.
Hello author sama here. Sorry for the .. Week? 8 days hiatus. I burned my self out because I was writing 3 series at the same time and uploading almost daily along with my school work which has piled up. New upload schedule is one upload every 3 days for each fic. So one day I will upload this fic followed by Pokemon tomorrow followed by Avatar the last airbender day after tomorrow. Oh and a few chapters may be a tiny bit smaller. Like from 1k words down to 800-900 words on average.
Thanks for all the support and crtiscm. Also I can't believe that we are back into the top 200 after a single chapter on the avatar fic. Any ideas or areas to improve will be appreciated. Peace out.
