Abir was swift to act. He picked Mishti up and gently lay her down on the sofa. He knew that she had passed out from shock and most likely a panic attack too. He immediately called the didi from the basement and asked her to lock up the place as he carried Mishti in his arms and drove home. Luckily, no one was present in the living room and so Abir ran up the stairs and gently placed Mishti on the bed. He called the doctor and explained the situation to her. Knowing about mishti's struggle with PTSD, and panic attacks she suggested that they let mishti be, and that she would wake up on her own in a while. But the doctor also warned Abir about Mishti's fragile mental state. Abir hung up and sat down next to Mishti and caressed her head and said, "Tum hi ne kaha tha na ki mein akela nahin hoon? Toh tum bhi akeli nahi ho angry chorni. I'm right here. I know it seems that there's no way out but I'm sure Partner has a silver lining in store for us. You just need to wait and watch. And I'll be right here with you." He said and kissed her knuckles.
Abir hadn't slept the previous night given his thoughts and nightmares so he too fell asleep as he sat next to a sleeping Mishti on the bed.
Mishti groaned and looked around, she found herself back home and in their room, her head was hurting as she looked around, Abir was asleep with his head resting on the headboard of the bed. One look at Abir and the conversation from the NGO played right before her eyes as fresh tears welled up in her eyes, the pain suffocating her. Without making noise she got out of bed and looked around. She found her track suit on the table and immediately grabbed it. She needed some air and she needed it fast. Without waking Abir up, she changed into the track suit, wore her sneakers and sneaked out of the house. She had been unconscious for over 4-5 hours so it was around 10pm in the night, and the Rajvansh house was quiet. She picked up her speed as she ran out of the Rajvansh house.
The memories from earlier that day kept flashing before her eyes, how excited everyone in the family was when they came to know about their decision of expanding their family. Badi Ma and bade papa's happy eyes, ma's pride and expectations , Kunal's happiness and kuhu's excitement all of it twisted the knife further in her heart. But what absolutely shattered her heart was the memory of Abir reciting the poem, about his dream of becoming a dad. Not only a dad but rather the best dad ever. The one he and Mishti weren't fortunate to have and the fact that she was unable to fulfill that dream of his made it difficult for Mishti to breathe. Why did life have to be so cruel to Abir!? She kept running as her heart yearned for some peace.
Abir woke up with a start. He hadn't realised when he had fallen asleep. His eyes immediately looked around for Mishti. He sprinted out of bed and anxiously looked around, he checked the bathroom, the balcony, the terrace, every nook and corner but much to his dismay she wasn't anywhere. He immediately ran back to his room and grabbed his car keys, grateful that everyone had retired to their rooms for the day so he wouldn't have to be answerable to anyone. It was the last thing he needed. He checked the app, and tried to trace Mishti's location, but found it to be Rajvansh Sadan only, much to his disappointment. He groaned in frustration as he realised that she must've left her phone behind. He asked the security guards if they had seen her but they obviously hadn't seen her. Abir was well aware about Mishti's skills when it came to sneaking out. He wanted to scream in frustration but he couldn't afford to waste anymore time.
He zoomed out of the Rajvansh Sadan, and looked everywhere. The NGO, the Rajvansh office. His fear led him to the bus stop, the railway station and every taxi stand around the Rajvansh house but not one person had seen her. With a heavy heart he then drove to the police station, but in the middle, something caught his eye.
The fairy lights near the lakeside were on. He looked at them in confusion. It had been months since he had last visited the lakeside. He never had the heart to come back after the god awful breakup. This place used to provide him with peace and solace that he didn't find at home, and without Mishti, he didn't find solace anywhere. And then later when they got married, he found all his peace and solace at home, with Mishti so the need never arose for him to come to the lakeside. But apparently, somebody needed some peace and solace and had come here.
