Chapter 4: Shifting

God I was hungry! I didn't know how to hunt though, so I ignored it and walked around the forest trying to find a shelter.

As I was walking around I found this giant waterfall it was beautiful. No beautiful is an understatement. No words could describe it correctly. I saw a dark spot behind the falling water. A cave! It might be the best place hear I just needed to check the cave out.

I walked in to the crystal clear water and next to the fall. I closed my eyes and ran beneath it. When I got to the other side I wasn't that wet. I looked up. The cave was a foot higher then the water. I could get in if I lifted my foot a little higher then normal.

I crawled in, it's beautiful. The walls were black with small white spots, it all had a blue tint. It wasn't to dark the water fall made a rainbow go across the place. There was a ledge at the side of it. It was a large square cave. I love it.

I looked around the exit and saw if I walked around to the side of the fall I would be able to get in with out getting wet. I went outside and gathered a few large rocks, some twigs, dry leaves, and some dry grass. I walked back in and placed the rocks in a circle and put the leaves, twigs, and grass in the middle of them, then I took two sticks and rubbed them together. Soon I had a fire going.

I stepped outside again and got a lot of long peaces of grass. I came back to my cave and went outside again after sitting them down.

I gathered dirt, leaves, some mud, and a large, rugged, and round stick. I also got a rock that was sharp at the end.  I went inside and placed the rock and stick down. I walked to the ledge and made a bed with the stuff I collected. I took off my back pack and put the blanket over it and also put the small pillow down. I took my clothes out, and folded went to the water fall and washed them. I came back, folded them and set them down near the fire to dry.

It was getting dark outside. I sat down next to the fire and grabbed the stick and rock I sat down earlier. I started sharpening the end of the stick. Later that night I finished and put it aside. I picked up my now clean dry clothes and set them next to my bed. I walked to the water fall, cupped my hands. I got the water and put out the fire. I finally got in to my bed it was surprisingly comfortable.

I suddenly was in pain. I screamed out. I knew what was happening. I was shifting. I got out of the bed and hurried outside. I was next to the water and I got on all fours. I let the pain wash over me. I relaxed and heard my bones snapping. I flinched a little bit. I felt a prickly sensation. The fur. I felt I grow out while my bones molded into a unnatural shape. The pain stopped. I opened my eyes and couldn't see for a minute because my eyes were changing into my wolf's.

My vision came back, so did other senses. They were all better then before.

'Hello, my human. I'm your wolf, Angel.' I heard a voice say.

'Hey! Can I see what you look like in the water??' I asked her.

'Sure.' She answered. I looked in the water. Fuck! I was a white fucking wolf!! Those are rare!

Their supposed to be faster, stronger , and have better senses then any other wolf. Their also supposed to have special powers.

'Angel? What's our powers??' I asked her.

'We control all the elements, and we can control other wolves. Make them do what we want. Oh and I can help you hunt. Because we don't have any real food. This is going to be funn.' She said.

'Angel, how do I shift back??' I asked.

'Just think of your self in human form.' She told me. I thought of my self in human form. Pain spread through out my body but not as bad as when I shifted into a wolf.

I stood up I was surprised that I had a pure white dress on. Normally wolves don't shift back with clothes.

I knew it was because of my wolf. I smiled. I went back into the cave and went to my bed and fell asleep.
