George opened the door to the café, bringing himself in and making his way to the cashier.

He saw he was the only one in line, so he was immediately in contact with the cashier, which he had never seen before.

"Oh! Are you new?" George asked to the cashier. "I'm a frequent customer, so... Hahah!"

"Eh, kind of?" The cashier replied.

"How so?" George continued.

"I got assigned last week, but I hadn't been able to come until today." The cashier explained.

"I see! It's George, by the way. I love this café more than any shop in town."

"It's Clay, so what will your majesty order for themself?"

"Majesty? You wish. And just a small Mocha, please." George responded, a smug smile apparent on his face.

"Alrighty!" Clay turned around to prepare George's coffee, while George actually hopped over the counter to watch him.

Once Clay took notice of George, he ushered George to get off, ending up with a smug no from George.

George watched as the boy with dirty blonde hair quickly made his coffee, surprising him, as he had said it was his first day working.

"I thought you had no experience?" George questioned as Clay was finishing up the drink.

"I worked at two other coffee places, and mama always made me prepare the coffee at home before that. It was easy to find a similar job with a better atmosphere – which I should add, I am loving the vibes of the café and the people – and a better pay." Clay said as he put the lid on George's drink.

He turned to George and grabbed him by the hand. He held the hand up and kissed it. As he looked up into George's eyes, he muttered, "One Mocha for your majesty."

"Don't make it easy to fall." George said, a red tint apparent on his cheeks. "Also, next customer."

As Clay turned around, George noticed the small mask pinned onto Clay's waist.

There was a small red stain on the upper right side of it, and the simple smiley face was drawn with watercolor.

He neverminded it, and sipped on his coffee, sticking his gaze onto the mysterious dirty blonde, now back to work preparing another customer's order.

After a few moments, he pulled his phone out from his pocket and lined his camera to the mask on the other's body.

Once he snapped the picture, Clay turned around and looked at George, asking him what the hell he'd done.

George only laughed and hid the phone screen in his lap.

"Get off of me and tend your order." George defended as he tried to escape Clay's tackle.

"Fine. But go away." Clay replied, and George complied, hopping back over to sit at one of the tables.

George readjusted his small bag on his shoulders as he walked through the lonely, dimly lit street.

The sun hadn't fully retired, yet it was not visible behind the couple of buildings far in front of him.

On his left, there were a few small alleyways that connected to the neighboring street, and George took a peek at every alleyway he came across, as the only thing he had been doing for the past minutes was walk.

It was near the end of the street when George took a look at one alleyway, spotting two figures in a suspicious pose.

In regrettable curiosity, George went his way to the two figures, stumbling across none other than Clay, with a masked man next to him.

The masked man had a gun in his hand, semi-pointed at Clay.

It looked like the man was trying to forcefully talk to Clay, or kidnap him.

"Clay? What are you doing here?" George asked as he approached the man and the one he aforementioned.

The man looked at George through the mask and so did George back.

The man suddenly dropped his gun and looked at George in utmost fear, bringing his hands onto his clothed face, after just moments starting to run away from the two.

"Creepy." George said as he looked at the shrinking figure of the masked man. George then averted his gaze to the familiar boy he'd seen in the café only two days ago, curious about why the boy was still afraid.

"Clay, are you okay?" George asked to help calm him, although that was in vain, as he did not expect the answer he'd get from the other.

"Do I know you?"
