My Wattpad Love - One Shot contest

Shane's POV:

The sun came down as I reached to the road. Looking at Julie and that emo smooching never was the last thing I need. I held the key of Evan's truck that he just gave me. I wanted to crush this truck so bad, but, Julie used to sit here. It started to bother me just by thinking what the heck did they do in this truck? And my mind flipped back the moment I saw her in Evan's shirt. I gritted my teeth and started the engine.

The noise of the truck and smell of the smoke got to me as I drove aggressively to the highway. My mind didn't bother about how rocky the road was. I was trying to let the wind drift away my memory of last night but every time I close my eyes, I see Julie in that freaking shirt. This is no use. Maybe I should go home and get laid. That was the only thing I'm great at.

The radio played 'We found Love by Rihanah'. We found love in a hopeless place. We found love in a hopeless place. Wow, bad timing, dude. This just reminds me of hopeless places, which mean such websites like Wattpad, and that website reminds me of Julie. When did everything make me remember about my first and only failed love?

I opened the window to get some fresh air. The rain was still pouring. I guess coming to Rivera in the rain season wasn't the best idea. The road was too slipper, meanwhile, the truck intended to go faster every time I check. Some rain drops got to where I was sitting. I put one hand on the wheel, the other on the window. I stare at the blurry road, annoyed. The weather really affected my mood. It had gone bad to worse.

My view had been blocked by the rain. I frowned and tried to focus on the road. Suddenly, my cell phone rang, I picked it up. I heard Jordan's voice on the phone: "Man, where are you now?" I tilted my head: "Almost there." I saw a sign '10 miles' away from the town. "Are you crazy? There's still a storm coming." Jordan shouted when I put the phone away from my ear. I rolled my eyes with annoyance: "I'm still alive, mom."

I can hear Jordan lay down the couch and turned on the television. He continued before I hang up: "Bro, just watch out of the road, or I'll be pissed." I chuckled. Aw, little bro cares about me, that's touching.

I wiped my imaginary tears and spoke with an emotional tone: "I'm moved by your caring, Jordan. What else do you have for me? Did you bring cookie and milk too?" I mocked him in a squeaky, girly voice, while laughing my head off.

"Oh, I have your cookies. In my ass!" He groaned at the phone, made me laugh even harder.

Suddenly, I saw a gap in front of me. The rain poured even harder every second. I cursed under my breath and tried to slow down. The truck didn't listen to me, it kept speeding up, making itself unstoppable. I pressed the brake hard, leaving such loud noise on the road. Make it stop! Make the damn car stop!

"Shane, what the hell?" Jordan rushed through the phone.

No, I didn't need any rush. Slow down!

The cliff was right in front of me. I spun the wheel, the whole truck headed to the left. Oh shit! I pressed the brakes again. My body was fall to a side, hitting the door. The truck had finally stopped, a feet away from that cliff. I breathed heavily, wiping the sweat on my forehead.

I reached the phone on the ground, Jordan almost yelled: "Man, you there?"

"Yeah yeah, I'm fine." I let out a sigh of relief. Fine? I almost die!

"That's what she said." I can see Jordan rolled his eyes."I told you so." He mumbled in a sing-song way to himself, actually it was for me. Bro, if you didn't call, I would have focused on the road. Technically, it's your fault. Oh great, now I'm talking to myself.
