Sticks POV
I was in the locker room after only 15 minutes of practicing which is really strange. I'm going to have to ask about that. As I was walking over to put my towel in the towel bin coach walked in while giving an exited "whoop!" He walked straight over to Tad and said, "Great practice Tad, your setting a fantastic example. You show the you show the team that footballs your number one priority!" I walked over to them as they did a little handshake. I need to know now.

"Coach, why did we have practice for only 15 minutes today?" I asked him as he turned from Tad to me as he passed the football he was holding from one hand to the other. "Cause I...wanted to go surprise my girlfriend at work." He stated as though his reason was kinda obvious. Girlfriend. That reminds me of Brooke. But then there's Ashley. Who do I pick? What do I do? I've been meaning to ask them for advice and now seems as good of a time as any!

"That actually reminds me, I was hoping you guys could help me with something." I told them as I sat on the bench next to Tad. Tad looked up a little and asked "what's up Stick?" Okay, how do I say this without being too obvious. "Somethings been going on in my personal life and I need some advice. How do I chose between two things, like two really great things, say, Coke and Pepsi?" Coke and Pepsi? I don't know I just said two things. This could work though. I replaced Ashley with Coke and Brooke with Pepsi. "I've had Coke on my mind for a while now but Coke doesn't seem too interesting." I mean I've liked Ashley from the start but she has shown me that she just thinks of me as a friend. "Then out of nowhere cute and popular Pepsi comes along and wants me to drink it. Which soda do I drink?" I finish my analogy and look up at coach to see what he has to say. "Just order a Dr.Pepper." Tad says obviously not understanding what I was trying to get at. Coach put his hand on my shoulder and went to give me advice.

"Don't worry Stick, I understand what your talking about. I used to drink my share of soda when I was your age too!" He said in a way that implied he went out with lots of girls. Of course. "You probably drank more than me." I told him and he agreed, "yeah that's probably true. What can I say soda's just loved me." He said matter of factly. "Guys, that stuffs really bad for your teeth." Tad added. He's a little slow sometimes. "Tons of sugar!" I just ignored his statement and went back to talking to coach. Maybe we'll final get to the advice.

"If Pepsi's available, and Coke missed her chance, go for the Pepsi." He said while he made soda gestures with his Hands and mouth. I nodded to show that I understood while adding, "Thanks coach" he looked at me one last time and stated, "The last thing you want to do when it comes to girls is come off as pathetic. Now if you excuse me I have to go beg a woman not to move away." And with that he left. Umm okay, I'm just gonna pretend that adds up.

"Ohhh I get it now, Coke and Pepsi are like a metaphor," finally! "Let's see who has Stick been hanging out with lately? Hum? Is Pepsi code for Brooke Bishop?" Oh wow, he actually got it! "Wow Tad thats actually right, how'd you know?" Without a pause he said "And Coke is Ms.Fox the French teacher!" What what?! He seemed so sure so I decided to just let him think he figured it out by giving a sarcastic, "Correct again..." he seemed very proud of himself for guessing correctly. "There's a lot more going on up here then meets the eye!" I just gave him a pat on the back and walked over to my locker.

As I was walking they very few steps he said, "So you and Brooke huh? Alright Stick!" Oh my... "You gonna ask her to the fall ball?" Fall ball?! Oh no I can't go to the fall ball with Brooke! She's so pretty and popular and I'm me. I know people will be judging us and I can't have that stress! I started to panic at the idea of talking Brooke to the dance and decided it would be better to do something more simple where we aren't with a ton of other people. "The fall ball? A social event where all my pears are constantly judging what you wear and how you dance, and how much you sweat, I'll be safe at home at home thank you very much!" I replied. There's no way I'm going to that dance, that's for sure. Tad looked a little disappointed as he tried to tell me why I should go. "Come on man this years theme is County fair! There's gonna be corn dogs, ski ball, funnel cake! Melter's bringing a pig as his date!" He told me. Did he just call her a pig? That's not nice. I looked up at him still holding the door of my locker.

"Woah, that is uncalled for." I told him causing him to smile before responding, "No like a bacon pig, his uncle has a farm, he's gonna sneak it in under his jacket." Though that seems quite interesting I still wasn't going. I can't go, I mean, Brooke is so perfect and popular. People are probably going to wonder why she was with someone like me. No I can't do it.

"Sounds great Tad, but the thought of walking into that dance with Brooke Bishop is super nerve racking. No, I need to ask her to do something simple, that doesn't involve a lot of people." I told him as began to go through my options. Oh I know! Hot pockets! That should work. "I'm gonna invite her to my house for hot pockets!"

Tad looked at me in a weird way before responding, "That's it?" Clearly not so impressed by my idea. "And uno." I added in hopes it would sound better and more exiting. Tad looked somewhat bored and still very unimpressed, maybe even with a hint of disappointment. "Suit yourself." He told me as he turned to walk away. He then turned around to tell me "But if Sarah Jessica Porkers ends up being named Fall Ball queen, I'm not sending you any pictures." He began to walk back part way through his sentence then left. I just shrugged and went back to getting my things from my locker.
