APPEARANCE || A massive dog, Rico stands at 29 inches. He weighs about 150 pounds and his large muscles ripple through his pelt when he walks. Rico is a large, robust and powerful dog, black with clearly defined rust markings. His compact and substantial build denotes great strength, agility and endurance. He is characteristically more massive throughout with larger frame and heavier bone than bitches. He has a constant noble, alert, and confident expression. The male has floppy jowls and his lips hang slightly past his lower jaw. His chest is roomy, broad and deep, reaching to elbow, with well pronounced forechest and well sprung, oval ribs. Back is straight and strong. Outer coat is straight, coarse, dense, of medium length and lying flat. Undercoat is present on neck and thighs. Undercoat does not show through outer coat. The coat is shortest on head, ears and legs, longest on breeching. The Rottweiler's coat is short without much grooming, though he does have two heavy shedding seasons in which he heavily cleans himself. His teeth are all sharp and well-kept, and he has titanium caps on top of his canines. To add to his bling, he wars a gold chain loosely around his neck. It also helps build his upper body strength, because the chain is rather heavy.
